Arizona Defense (1 Viewer)

I picked them up after they were discussed as the prime defense to own a couple of weeks back. Since then, they have 3 straight clunkers against the Seahawks, Chiefs, and 49ers. In my scoring system they have hovered right around a zero point total each week. The week 15 matchup against Carolina doesn't look so good anymore. Trust me, I have been playing that card, and I have been disappointed the last 2 weeks. Carolina isn't the pushover they were thought to be.

So is AZ DST still a hold for the playoffs? :jawdrop:

i picked them up thinking i had a well-kept secret of a steal...they proceeded to give me -3 vs seattle. i knew they were gonna get thumped vs KC, so i dropped em. after last night, nevermind, they're getting progressively worse. time to look elsewhere.

I'm assuming this thread is a directed barb at those who advocated picking up ARI a few weeks ago. There's no way you can rationally hold out hope for them after the last 3 weeks -- at the very least the O is keeping them on the field far too long. After CAR's outburst against CLE this week, I don't even think ARI is a good start Week 15.

i was planning on going with a cardinals/falcons committee for the playoffs since they play the panthers 3 of the last 4 weeks, but now not so much. i dont even want to root for the cardinals either

I considered starting the Panthers at home against the Cardinals instead in week 15, but after some research today, the facts through 11 games just don't lie:

1. The Panthers offense has only scored 140 points (compared to 187 for the second worst team, the 49ers)

2. They are last in the league in yardage gained at 2,851 (Cardinals are next at 2960)

3. They're tied with the Vikes for most interceptions thrown at 17

4. They are third in sacks allowed at 33 (Bears have allowed 41)

5. They are fourth in fumbles at 12 (league worst is 14)

6. The week 15 game is at home, and oddly their points scored at home is lousy: 7, 7, 6, 23, 3, 13

With all this info, I've mostly convinced myself that the Arizona DST is still a good Week 15 start playing against the Panthers. I'll be watching the Cardinals offense over the next couple weeks, but I'm thinking this is the right play.

Yes, I am still rolling with them.

1) I still got 8 points last night which was as good or better than the Falcons and Titans did and is an acceptable floor.

2) Division games are always tough even if the team is subpar, especially on prime time against a team that was just shut out.

3) I don't believe in the Panthers. They didn't give the Browns many points but they only managed one offensive TD. That doesn't mean they are good.

4) What else is out there, really? At least in my league, Panthers are taken as well.

It's still worth a shot. Rather roll with them over Titans. Maybe roll with Falcons over them against SEA but we'll see. We have 2 more weeks till then. Who knows.
