BB is IMO maybe the best game planner there has ever been in the NFL..
His in game coaching though leaves a lot to be desired. I think he would be a great game coach if not for the fact he ego is pretty much as large as it can get and he is stubborn and refuses to change it up.
New England last night was getting Killed on the mid range to long inside routes as the Philly line was holding NE pass rush off just long enough no matter if they blitzed or not. BB refused to alter his defense and kept going to take the outside and short stuff away no matter what and leave the inside exposed thinking he would get enough pressure which they never got. On offense NE when they tried to run it were running well ( the stats don't really say how effective it was becasue Maroney was stuffed a few times early but once he got going they had a tough time stopping him ) but he never stuck with it even when it was apparent Brady was a little off and Moss was having a bad night ( granted Brady got like 350 yards and a TD - but he wasn't sharp at all they just passed every down ) - BB just kept going to the same spread formation from the SG and just wouldn't change anything.
IMO IF the pats lose this year which IMO still won't happen as they are just too good and BB is too smart not to learn from this - it will be becasue a team like Philly last night figures out a hole in their Defense and BB instead altering his d won't change it up. Against a better like <cough> Indy <cough> The same thing would happen to them that happened last season when BB wouldn't change anything on D and Peyton destroyed his defense when he figured it out in the 2nd half.
