Atlanta Falcons Depth Chart (1 Viewer)

Had a chance to get White or Jenkins and chose Jenkins. Ah well. :pickle:
As a 6 year Falcons ticketholder, I can tell you a few observations....1) NONE of these receivers are going to be reliable on your fantasy teams.2) Joe Horn is the best receiver on this team, but that doesnt mean he will have the best stats.3) White is the most talented physical specimen on the team, but drops a lot of passes. Also makes some great catches too. Frustrating.4) Jenkins surprisingly makes the big first down and touch down catches. Now, considering that most of you are drafting Falcon recievers as your 4 or 5 WR, then I would go with one that has some UPSIDE. IMO, Horn has little upside here. He may be the best right now, but that's not saying much. As a 4 or 5 WR on your team, you willlikely need one of these guys as a bye week replacement. I would much rather take the chance that Jenkins or White has a breakoutseason than hope that aging, injury prone Horn does. Its really a coin toss over Jenkins or White. White was named a starter last year too....what did THAT mean? Nothing. Jenkins outperformedhim then too. Im taking Jenkins in 2 of my 4 leagues, but I hope never to have to play him unless he catches fire. I wouldnt mind White. He'sstill on a few waiver wires...I'll be watching.

So then, are you saying the intention of bringing Horn in was anything other than for him to start?

This is not an exercise in determining author intention in a piece of fiction. This is based on what coaches have stated, never mind the depth chart which is as good as coming out of the coaches mouth, and actions (which speak louder than words) taken by the organization.

Here are some Petrino quotes on Robinson

I'm not sure what made either of you want to "attack" me, but nothing I said was false, fabricated, or anything synonymous with those concepts.
I don't see anything in that link that talks about Robinson being "recruited to replace White and Jenkins." It talks about how Petrino saw him play in college, really wanted him on his team, and has worked hard to help him learn the system. I would expect that to be true of any rookie a team goes out and gets: if they haven't watched the guy and liked him why did they draft him? If they drafted him, why wouldn't they help him learn the system? It doesn't say anything about Petrino's opinion about White or Jenkins or about his future plans for the WR position.
Bump - FYI week 1 starters were Horn and Robinson.

I dont think he started I think that was a misreport by Rotoworld.

Also the falcons run alot of 3 and 4 wr sets i dont think it matters who starts but who get the targets.

Roddy 5 targets

Laurent 4 targets

jenkins 4 targets

horn 3 targets

Robinson and Horn started. It was reported by NFL and then Rotoworld.Just double checked... White is listed on the depth chart now as the starter ahead of Robinson.

I do believe Robinson was on the field for the first play last week, then White came in. It may have been a formation thing, or White was getting equipment fixed, not sure.
