Aurellius Benn - I like his prospects moving forward (1 Viewer)

He had his best game of the season last time they played NO. Coach Morris talkign him up this week as the bucs best big play wr and most explosive wr and saying they plan to get him more involved. I think he might be more talented than mike williams. Im taking a shot on his upside over j. gaffney in my flex with steve smith on bye.

anyone else?

Is this thread title better?? SHEESH

Not sure if it begins this week, but I expect him to have a very solid 2nd half of the year. (He shredded his knee at the near end of last season)

I look for a 3rd year breakout here in 2012.....from Benn.

and what was this part? And was I asking anyone for their advice on whether i should play him in my flex or not? NO. I was stating that based on my thoughts about him I WAS. Apologies if the thread title should not have included that i am starting him in my flex. I was simply saying that I was backing up my opinions with my actions and putting him in my flex.

Thanks for sharing.

I didn't watch much of this game, but it sure seems like he's still not playing in 3 WR sets. 2 catches out of 27 that Freeman completed should tell u something...I'd say he's droppable in all but dynasty leagues

I'm liking Benn this weak as a bye week filler upside play. Playing the Packers, you now Tampa is going to be throwing the entire game. Packers susceptible to big plays vs the pass and I expect Woodson to focus on Mike Williams.

now.....of course he could very easily go 2 for 29 yds so start at your own risk and only if somewhat desperate.

Arrelious* lol...sorry I had to. I've always been a huge fan of his. Guy has breakout potential...in a pretty crappy situation right now, not sure I see it getting much better for the rest of the year.

What team throws the ball more percentage wise than any other team in the NFL?
I'm gonna guess the same team that has the worst defense in the league and the only defense to rank in the bottom 5 in both pass and run defense; hence the offense barely has the ball and has to play from behind all the time. What do I win?

Love some of the responses here - many thoughtful and well constructed comments. :X

I like Benn as well - I think few will argue that he has the talent and ability - just maybe not with the present Buc system though (playing from behind, crisis mode, no consistency, etc). With Freeman at the helm and a "suspect" TB Management at best, I think he is more of a kid to keep on the roster in deeper leagues and worth actively watching in shallow formats.
