Nothing new, really, with the exception of social media compared to years ago. Does it seem worse than years ago? The same? If you have kids, how do you feel watching this?

Can't judge based on things I did but I hope I can instruct my kids (especially since they're girls) how to do things smart. Have a designated sober person in your group to be a safety net.

Gotta say though looks like a great time ,hot girls (and guys for the girls) and getting a nice buzz on by the beach?

I'm sad i'm in my mid-30's and too old to participate in any way... also at my age it looks exhausting

this looks no different whatsoever than it was when i was there 20 years ago. except the twerking. that's new.

That one fat guy looked like he was almost 30. Spring breakers should be college kids, so 18-22 tops. If you are still celebrating spring break and you are 23+ you're a loser.

Yea, that ####### 32 year old who sneaks in there, rails out a few 19-21 year olds and then returns to normal life is a real dooschbag :kicksrock:

Not seeing how this is sad in any way. Except maybe the trend of cheap wayfarer sunglasses.

are you saying that because the guy is fat?

i'm guessing if it was a fit 28 y.o. that you wouldn't have even noticed him.

not sure why you'd define that person as a "loser" though

BREAKING NEWS! Kids get drunk and crazy on spring break.

I'm shocked. :o
It's not surprising.

What is a shocking for some people is that there are people that think that's considered fun.

It just doesn't look like it to me. I guess I'm a prude.
Maybe the celebration of the complete binge drinking is a bit over the top.

but at the core of it, it is sun, beach, music, parting with people... if you took the beer bongs out of it, would it be fun then?

Much pearl-clutching over at Fox News, I guess. But hey, when the younger edge of your demographic is these kids' grandparents, what can you do?

It'd be more fun, sure. Drinking to get drunk has never made sense to me and people that do it have always made me uncomfortable.

A loser or, a genious? Not a tough call from where I'm standing.

 I was one of them in 1986 and 1987.. had the time of my life.. Then again, my weekends around home were already :suds: so this was just an excuse to do it with more people.. Seriously, one of the best times of my life.. but I wouldn't want to do it again at my age.. and Going to fight my daughter tooth & Nail if she wants to go ;)

ok, i can respect that type of opinion.

If it was just a bunch of rowdy college kids hyped up on Red Bull and hormones twerking to some music on an alcohol-free beach would you want to participate?

For me it comes down to the effort to get there. If he took time off from work and flew in from Minnesota, he's a loser. If he lives nearby and popped in for some easy poon, well that's just common sense.

I'm not sure I'd know what to do with myself, but I'd have given it a go.

My high school and college years consisted, for the most part, of school and sports. Met my wife freshman year of college so she took the place of sports. Boy did she ever...but I digress.

I look at it this way. As long as everybody is safe, let them be kids. If it leads to deaths, rapes, etc. then it crosses over to sad.

A certain level of collateral damage is not acceptable. Unfortunately, society moved in this direction.

Do you count date-rape and drunk-might-have-been-rape-but-neither-party-can-actually-remember scenarios? Because those would add a lot of rapes. Like somewhere in the neighborhood of several hundred per night.

No, means no. If you're a 98 lb girl and choose to drink an 18 pack of beer, you still can still say no. Being drunk doesn't make you a mute. Being passed out doesn't make you a blow up doll.

How is this ANY different than when we hit Spring Break?

What's wrong with a few deaths?

I don't have anything against fat people. He just looked older than a college kid, and fat was the quickest way to describe him.

My point is spring break is for college age kids.

We had a funnel in 1990.... nothing to see here.

:jealous:

I tried teaching my kid quarters, 3 man and ####### this weekend. He didn't like them. They play chase quarters using ping pong balls and cups

How is it sad? I mean yeah there is probably too much drinking and casual sex. Oh wait I was supposed to be listing sad stuff. But seriously it's a rite of passage that many on this board went through. And here we are telling people to get off our lawns like proper adults. So soon shall they.

Oh so you are a "cool dad", huh?

In my spring break jurisdiction (one of the big ones), arrests and deaths at least proximately caused by intoxication are actually down in the last ten-twenty years. Only thing up is the rise of MDMA busts.

It's Hannity. He's wants middle-aged to older white men to yearn for the "good ol' days" when in reality those good old days sucked worse than today's current youth behavior.

I got a drunken spring break BJ from a chick I met 10 minutes before on a 2nd floor hotel balcony with ~10 people cheering me on from the pool below. I can only wish the same for my sons. Thank God I don't have daughters.

he's 20 and a sophomore in college...
Stop being cool, jerkface.
lol...I'm not partying with him but I'm not stupid either...i think Jayrod was taking a dig but I'm not one of those I'm a buddy with my kid and not a parent.

I'll stop letting him play poker and join my fantasy league too
