Baltimore got the wrong quarterback (1 Viewer)

no no not Kerry Collins, I'm talking about the guy who has led the Cowboys to their only double digit win season since 1998, the same guy who played three incredible games for the Jets in 2004 that kept them in the playoffs

Quincy Carter would do a way better job for the Ravens than that dinosaur McNair. Signing Mcnair is like putting a band-aid on a shotgun wound. He is but a shell of a shell of his former self.

For a franchise that was so obsessed with Anthony Wright (and rightfully so), Quincy Carter would be such a great addition.

member #20431,

how many good players in the NFL have a first name that starts with the letter Q?

Quincy, seeing that you're new here, let me fill you in on a custom. If you want to be accepted, please pass the bong around to your left. It's also adviseble to put said bong down before posting.

not new, I don't "get" that Jan 06 date.....not new

LOL, I seriously think this guy is related to Quincy carter or something. Why else would you make a name or avatar like that, and be so defensive of him?

McNair in 2005 was much better than Carter has ever been.

I have no relation to Quincy Carter, as a matter of fact I am white. I can tell by your post that you haven't seen Quincy play very much at all. In 2003, Carter had to play with Troy Hambrick at running, an offensive line that almost broke the NFL record for sacks allowed the previous year when a less mobile quarterback (Chad Hutchinson) was playing, and three receivers (Galloway, Glenn, Antonio Bryant) that were very prone to dropping balls. Despite all of this, Quincy led Dallas to the playoffs for the first time since Troy Aikman was under center. In fact, Carter is the ONLY quarterback in Dallas to go to the playoffs since Aikman retired.

There's a reason for that.

Aren't most celebrity stalkers white? Come clean man, how many QC posters are you sporting on your wall? And do you have lots of individual letters cut out of newspapers and magazines? It's ok dude. I'm sure he'll write back soon. Just as soon as he finishes that 8-Ball!

MightyEskimo -

Even if I was a celebrity stalker, it would be way to costly to leave me home in Dallas and follow Quincy to Toronto and back. And no, there are no pictures of Quincy in my room. I stopped collecting things to put on my wall 10 years ago.

This is what is on my wall right now:

1 Dallas Cowboys Pennant

3 Dallas Mavericks Pennants

1 Texas Rangers Pennant

1 Deion Sanders (Cowboys) Pennant

Thats it, no Quincy.

It seems to me that through your post, you are implying that I am some pasty freak in my mothers basement. I think that is a little hypocritical considering you are on this message board on a Friday night.

I think you're getting a little testy for someone who brought up Quincy Carter and couldn't see this coming. Relax, have your mom bring you down some nachos.

what was he busted for again?
What do you mean when you say "again"? Quincy may have tested positive for marijuana on a few league administered drug tests, but as far as we know, he has never had any problems with the law. Therefore, he has never been "busted".By no means am I defending his off field decisions. I am very dissapointed in some of the choices he has made and have not really appreciated the times that he has made me look foolish as a fan of his. However, that is not the question. The question is whether or not he is a better fit for the Ravens than some dinosaur who can barely pass a physical right now.

Hmmm, *pasty* freak in mom's basement, on a friday night, with Q Carter posters on the wall.  This sounds like the makings of a John Watters film, w/ Divine staring as quincycarter"nc"17

I think the word you were looking for was paTSy

This post makes me want to :wall: and go to bed.

I'm afraid you guys are ignoring important trends here.Q has increased his completion % every single year, an average of about 3.1% improvement per year. Had he not been coked up in 2005 and throwing the rock instead (get it? Coke? Rock? er, forget it...), my abacus calculates he would have been at about 63.4%, and then 66.4% in 2006. In about 2017 Q will be completing 100% of his passes!

I say cut Peyton Manning and plug Q into the Indy starting lineup ASAP.

Good point, and he'd have 50 TDs, 8,000 yards, every year and by 2017, 11 Super Bowl MVP awards. My mistake, so who's going to set the poll up "Quincy Carter for Hall of Fame"?

I kind of like what Quincycarter17 is doing for us here. No seriously it's fun. He's challenging the convention. He's forcing us to open our closed minds. He's making us think in ways we never thought possible.

So Quincycarter17, is it really you Quincy? Just tell us we won't tell anyone else that you visit these message boards. It's just got to be you! Finally a real NFL player amongst us.

OK. I will admit it. A couple of years ago I thought Q was going to be an OK NFL quarterback. :bag:

I'm afraid that his career is now over.

Comparing to McNair though is a little :loco:

if they had acquired such a QB, maybe. Arguably. Some loser who can't even hang with the CFL or some dinosaur... tough choice.

Some loser who can't even hang with the CFL or Mcnair, not even close.

It wasn't Toronto. He joined the Montreal Alouettes....and he was cut after a week.

That's just stupid. Carter is 100% pure garbage.

I don't think you're a celebrity stalker. If you were, you'd have chosen an actual celebrity to stalk and name yourself after.

Even though this is the biggest :fishing: ever...

I'm talking about the guy who has led the Cowboys to their only double digit win season since 1998, the same guy who played three incredible games for the Jets in 2004 that kept them in the playoffs
In the 3 games Carter started for the Jets in 2004, he was:13/22 175 0/0

11/20 116 1/1

8/12 133 1/0

They scored 40 points in those 3 games. They did win 2 of them, but that was because their defense played well (allowing a combined 10 points in those 2 wins) against bad teams (Cle and Arz).

How exactly did Carter play incredible in those games again?

Thanks for the laugh.

The happiest (most relieved?) man in Dallas when Quincy Carter was caught for drugs two years ago was Bill Parcells, because that enabled him to cut a clearly inferior QB who was never the less still the apple in ht eye of the same bozo front office that had drafted him.

Really? I remember it being the exact opposite. Parcells seemed very distressed that the front office (jerry Jones, who actually always had a grudge against him) pretty much forced him to cut his starting GB, and don't you think that it is odd that the team that picked him up was the team that Parcells used to coach for? Book it, Parcells put in a good word for Carter to Jets management.

BTW inferrior to who that year? Hutch? Drew "cowboy fans think im Jesus" Henson? Vinny "shoulda retired 5327547247247 years ago" Testaverde? whom they had actually claimed off of waivers after they had cut Carter.

What about the cocaine? And now that you've gotten the question across to us, the answer is NO!   :wall:
What cocaine? The cocaine deal was a rumor. He tested positive for marijuana, which, although this is no excuse for him, is a drug that is not nearly on the same level as cocaine.
