Barry Sanders (1 Viewer)

If Barry Sanders were to come out of retirement today and train in an offseason program, how do you think he would rate in today's game? Oh yeah, I just checked, he will be 38 this summer. I thought he was like 35, but answer anyways.

Better yet, I'd like to hear the scouting report on him for the upcoming draft (if he were just coming out of college today) from some doom-and-gloomers."Too small."

"Makes too many jukes, won't be able to do that at the next level."

"Size leaves concern about whether he can be a feature-back."

:lmao:

REALLY, just like they knock Bush and Drew.....but we shall see :P

He'd be second string at best.

Consider Dieon Sanders who did come back at the age of 38. He was as dominant if not more at his position when he played and got hit even less than Barry.

Deion had injuries.. none for Barry other than a small knee injury in '91?

AVOIDS CONTACT

First, he would sit out of training camp because of his contract.

Then, when signed he would average 2 YPC during the games. My guess: 500 yards/2 Tds

Barry, in his prime, was the master at 2 yards, 1 yard, -2 yards, 3 yards, 50 yards. Sorry to say that the "50 yards" wouldn't be there any more.

Deion never had injuries. He had turf toe once but I don't recall him ever being "injured."

Barry would have the same injuries as Deion after his comeback though, pulling hamstrings and groins and what not.

I'd think he could easily break 1300 yards and 6 TDs. Even at 38, he's still enough juice.

I suspect he would lead the league again in being tackled behind the line of scrimmage.

He never had 18 TDs when he was playing
He was also playing for my pathetic Lions, too. Put him in the right backfield, and he coulda been a Hall of Famer....err wait....Can you imagine what he would have been like behind the Denver or KC lines? *shiver*
