The Jets were primarily a 4-3 team in this game. Everything that we were noting during the preseason carried over to Week 1. Harris was strong in all phases of the game at MLB and got plenty of pass rush opportunities. Scott was frequently blitzing as well, but just wasn't getting to the ball often enough from his WLB position. It's essentially the same deal for Scott in NY as it was in Baltimore. Very good all-around player, but, despite all the hype about him being the focal point of this defense, he's not going to be in a position to get to the ball consistently enough to hold LB2 or better value. Harris, on the other hand, can now be officially be expected to have top 15 value in most weeks. Seeing the 4-3 looks and big play opportunity carry over into the regular season seal the deal for me.

Everything I read entering the season said Scott was supposed to take over the Ray Lewis spot in Ryan's defense. If he's playing on the weakside, then I don't even need to roster this guy. Should I expect really low numbers like this every week? I've got Timmons and Pozluszny out right now and am looking at starting Beason and Scott with no backups. I was really high on Scott, but if he's not going to produce in fantasy then maybe I should drop him. Do you think it's going to get better or worse from here? I guess it can't really get much worse...

It'll be better. Terrible tackle opportunity last week and he looked more active on the field than in the box score. I don't think he'll be much more than a volatile LB3, however.
