Well it sounds like a lot of you guys aren't too keen on the FantasyBaseballInstitute.com site, which is ok I wish you luck with your other site. The BaseballJesus site is just too much shtick for my taste, but there is definitely a market for shtick in fantasy sports so I'm sure it will do well.

my :twocents: the FBI is much, much too serious as a name(plus it has fantasy in the name which is a no-no), I sort of like the layout though with injuries and hot on the right.
Like others have said if it's just for "us" baseballjesus is fine...though I'd personally prefer beisboljesus. If you eventually want to sell the PicklesApp, you probably need a little more serious of a name.
I'll also throw this out there, but a baseball site sort of mirrored after basketballmonster "might" work since (from what I can gather) the PickApp is sort of based on a similar "valuation" philosophy. From a business point of view, I'd say there does appear to be a market between serious stat-head baseballprospectus stuff and the typical fantasy site that does a piss-poor job of actually valuing guys.

Interesting observation. I didn't think of that, but its a good point. This is a rookie venture for me, I'm just a financial analyst who does his programming with Microsoft Notepad and a book on CSS.

not that i matter, but i think it needs a legit name, baseballjesus just screams shtick
bbt was a good idea, but it can't be laid on one persons shoulders, any group who is serious about starting this up as a legit site needs an ownership agreement up front with a clear definition of who does what and who contributes what.... bbt had lots of people with good ideas but the site lacked direction and commitment, kevin would get an idea and run with it hoping others would join in, and we would, for a short time, but then we would get lazy and not follow through, all involved know this was the downfall......over time, kevin just got burnt out....its not as easy as it sounds, especially with a group that values shtick....so my opinion is to lay out as much of the backbone up front with some input from the bbt people that experienced the problems
as for my participation, i would like to see who the group is and some of the direction before i commit to anything....however, no matter who is involved, i would be more than happy to provide input if asked

I really hope you guys can figure something out. I'd love to contribute but would hate to throw my name into the ring and then not be able to keep my end of the bargain due to time constraints, but I'd definitely visit/get involved. Then if I see I have time to write something, maybe I'd contact you guys then. I'm sure the collective minds here could do a great job.
