nice hit GM!

no plays for me today except for a pending loser of phil/balt O 10.5

this stands no chance 2 runs in the 7th

any leans on arizona tonight? Anyone?

Took the following:

Dontrizzle for 4 units...he's found his stride and decent value with how hot Boston is.

Oswalt for 2 units...again, decent price/value for a pitcher I like.

Kansas City for 1 unit...yes, KC. I have never thought that Suppan was that good and no way does he deserve to this bif of a fav against anybody. Stl isn't even playing well and conversely, the Royals are (for them).

GOOD LUCK and drink mucho!

   I'm really tempted to just hammer Oswalt -109, but something smells fishy there. Padilla has been in very poor form, the Rangers as a team are better on the road than at home and Oswalt is a bonafide ACE in this league. It seems too good to be true.

Love the Mariners in this spot tonight. They've just murdered the NL West and their home fans are going to be amped up tonight as the team looks to cap off a fantastic month. But at -162, I'm thinking of pairing Moyer up with Radke -152 as the Twins should continue to roll.

Sonny, I too might go after the Royals. They can win a game here and there.

I'm in the minority tonight, which bodes well for the rest of you.

Texas -107/AZ-Oak o9.5 (+100) 1 unit to make 3 and change

Oswalt is awesome, but the Astros offense is not. Factor in Texas returning home and on a beat of a losing streak, and I think this is a fine spot for them to bounce back. If they can get to the Astros bullpen, they have a fine chance of winning.

Snakes and A's are throwing two back of the rotation guys. I think both teams can score here......plus I didn't see much else of value worth playing.

See y'all next Friday and have a safe and fun 4th of July

Nice call on KC

afternoon bases for those at work? Thinking about taking Milwaukee here; Bush is underrated IMHO - no opinion on the total

FWIW, I will also be on NYY tonight - going to the game; I like Wang a whole lot more than Sowers in this spot, also thinking the over!

I'm trying to get a read on this afternoon game, but I just can't. Harang -106 seems a bit strange to me. He's been much better than Bush this year, but he has been historically bad against the Brewers. Backing Harang seems like the better investment here, but why isn't he more of a favorite? Odd.I like Pittsburgh +155. Sure, the Mets are rolling, but Darren Oliver? Really? He pitched for the Rangers when I was in college. That was millions of years ago. Is he really -175 tonight?

PITCHING CHANGE - OLIVER SCRATCHED FOR MAINE

nyy - 130 for one unit ( homer disclaimer and going to the Jake to see my childhood team rollover a bad cleveland team with a rook pitcher who isn't all that, not to mention that the NYY have been raking ( well at least they did last night))

tor/tex O 10.5 -110 - one unit -with Lilly and Rheinecker on the bump we could this number early IMHO

I've got one I just want to hammer tonight...somebody talk me off the ledge here, otherwise, I'm going 4 Units on this one.

Florida -115

Nolasco vs. P. Astacio...

Astacio makes his first start of the year, coming off the 60 Day DL. This is his 600th team in 3 years. I think he's a good short any time he takes the mound. Nolasco has been crisp and sports very good numbers. Florida played Boston tough yesterday and while I note Washington has won its last two games, these games were against Tampa. Washington is not very good at home (nor the road) and I think the Marlins are a better team right now. I'm a bit weary that Nolasco hasn't won back to back games and I do note that Astacio is 10-3 against the Marlins, but I'm looking to hammer the fish here.

Thoughts?

Other possible plays tonight...

Yankees -130 (I'm with you Beavers)

Toronto -113

Chicago White Sox RL +130

Angels +111

Detroit -125
Final Card:Florida -115 2 Units (maybe more)

Toronto 1 Unit

Angels 1 Unit

Detroit 1 Unit

Yankees 1 Unit

$18 Parlay to win $85...

Chicago RL +140

Arizona +140

Going to Vegas tonight and would like to make some sport bets. I think I might bet the Twins Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Parlay all 3 games and also seperate on Sat and Sun wehn Liriano and Santana are on the bump.

They play the Rangers.

problem with playing liriano and santana is that you won't get much value there, IMHO.

onto tonight:

NYY -110 ( HOMER ALERT and GOING TO GAME)

also looking hard at:

balt/cws over ( but 11 is a large number)

tor/kc over ( this may be the play given the starters, it is at kaufman and the royals have shown signs of life offensively);

sd and philly over ( in the bandbox, madson and park on the hill)

sf/la under 8.5;

Houston -120 ( they are much better than STL right now and buckholz is far better than lard ### Ponson)

SD +123 - good value here and dog system play

NO, i am not playing all these - just thinking about them - prolly play one or more of them

I go away for a week and this thread gets mighty quiet. I probably place too many bets.

But, now I'm back, and let's get down to business.

Tonight, I like the late games more than the early games, but I'm going out to supper with the family, so I'll try to post more plays later. Early games:

Mets (Lima Time!) +123 to make one unit

This is just a time where I will not mind having the less starter pitcher, when I have much the better team at home. Was contemplating the over too, but I'll just pray Lima puts together 5-6 solid innings here.

Cubs (Zambrano) -137 for one unit

This is a spot where I'll take a premier starter going against a rookie and hope for the best. The price is a little steep considering it's a road game, but Zambrano is that good, so I'll lay the wood.

St Louis (Marquis) +103 to make 2 units

I don't like my starter here with St Louis, but I like the rest of the team against a weak Houston offense. Not at all sold on Wandy Rodriguez as a threat, and I think St Louis should win here.

g'luck
