Baseball Wagering (3 Viewers)

Run scored:

2nd inning over .5

3rd inning over .5

Each to make 2 units.
:excited: - NICE WORK
 Been a nice week or so. That Beltran score on a wild pitch made my night for sure. One more day until we have some more action
I am on vaca starting tomorrow so my plays may well be few and far between - but being the degenerate I am ... I am taking the laptop with me! :bag:

booked these for tonight on my way out of the door:

Houston Astros Money Line -107 for Game (great price on Oswalt even if it is against the d-train)

Colorado Rockies Money Line +105 for Game ( Colorado has the better starter here and the better pen IMHO)

Los Angeles Dodgers/St Louis Cardinals Ov 10 -105 for Game (just don't see how these two teams don't score in bunches here)

GLTA

Here is what I like tonight:

Minn/Cle - Minn(Liriano) -1.5 / +105

(Liriano is 4-0 at home and only given up 2 runs total in his 4 starts Minn has also won 13 in a row at home by an avg or 4.9 runs/game)

Det/KC - Det(Bonderman) -1.5 / -102

(Bonderman is 3-0 against KC this year and has only given up 4runs total in those 3 games. Detroit has also won 8 in a row at home by an avg of 3.3 runs/game.)

Bos/Oak - Bos(Lester) -1.5 / +110

(Lester is 2-0 at home 4-0 overall and Loaiza historically hasn't pitched well against Boston. Boston has also won 9 in a row at home by an avg of 3.7 runs/game)

I also have these in a 3 team parlay and in Round Robin 2's x 3's.

Any of you homos making money in here? :bye:
I am definitely an amatuer at betting on this sport. But I am up $80 so far this season. I don't make huge bets ($10 to $40 per bet). I've had most of my success betting good pitchers on good teams. So I am often having to lay $14 to $17 just to win $10. Betting $40 on the AL in the All-Star game definitely helped :)

Okay, I'm over my betting withdrawls and ready for tonight. I've been jonesing so hard, I played a few golf wagers include a 2 unit Jeff Maggert > Craig Parry bet. WTF plays Jeff Maggert? I do, that's who!

Anyway, I like a few things going on tonight, and just sent in one parlay.

1 unit to make 5

Houston (Oswalt)

LAD/StL over 10

Detroit -1.5 (Bonderman)

Houston I will only play when RoyO is on the hill, and here we go, right out of the shoot. Both pitchers have shoutout possibility, sure, but I like my man Roy here and the price is right at nearly a coin flip. Florida is still a young team, and with Houston shaking things up a little (acquiring Huff, demoting Lane) I think their offense will come to life ...okay maybe just slightly, but that's all I'll need here.

St Louis/Dodgers over 10 is one I almost sent in by itself, and may just do so later if I start :banned: Both teams have offenses I like, big inning kind of offenses, guys that get on base, run the bases, etc... And well Marquis and Billingsley don't exactly put the fear of God into anyone. I think St Louis will be patient and work some walks out of Billingsley early, and LA will start getting to Marquis and that bullpen later, and I see a 8-5 kinda game here.

Bonderman is the nuts. I've watched him pitch a few times this year, and each and every time he has been sharp. Awesome fastball, great command and location. KC is awful, and not going anywhere fast. If Detroit can get a few runs early off of Brandon Duckworth, I think this game is as good as over.

g'luck

Nice job

2nd half, need to get back at it and turn it around. I haven't made a play in what seems like forever. Tonight I'm going to lay the huge chalk on the Twins. Liriano has been unstoppable at home and so have the Twins for the last month or so. Twins also hitting .362 against lefties in their last 10. Should be a different look for the Indians than the team they beat up on early in the season.

Cubs/Mets Over 10 -110

Oakland +150

Rockies +125

Mariners +113

Twins -116

Also rounded down my account with a $7 parlay to win $80:

Oakland +150

Rockies +125

Mariners +113

Question: Is now the right time to start shorting Kenny Rogers?

Question: Is now the right time to start shorting Kenny Rogers?
Don't have the exact numbers, but first start after an all-star appearance can be bad. Of course the Royales are more than bad, so to me it's a wash this time out.

I might play them for s hits and giggles. the carrot is enormous and Redmond was an All Star.

Took a lot of road teams today. So far I've punched the following:

Mets -113 (Trachsel) 1.5 units, Mets +142 (-1.5 runs) 1 unit

Basically if the Mets win by a run, I push, but if they win by more than 1 run I make out like a bandit. Decent pitching matchup of two veterans, but I think the Mets are so much better than the Cubs right now in the bullpen and offensively, I'm not scared of facing Maddux - who has cooled considerably after his fast start. Would prefer having Reyes at the top of the lineup, as he has been a huge spark plug to this offense, but either way, I'll take my chances with Beltran, Wright, Delgado et al.

Parlay:

Colorado/Washington/Philly 1 unit to make 10

Colorado-cincy should be close. I really don't like the deal Cincy made by getting rid of Kearns and Lopez to sure up the bullpen, as I think it's going to hurt. Relying on Griffey/Dunn is a risky proposition. Griffey is almost sure to get hurt, and Dunn is a guy that can strikeout 3 times per game and walk the other two times. Of course the occasional bomb helps, but with Colorado I get a decent offense with guys that can hit up and down that lineup. Jennings is usually good away from Coors, and hell he can hit too! Harang is a quality pitcher, but let's do this.

Washington is simply because I don't believe this Pittsburgh team is ready to win and shouldn't be a favorite with 5-8 Zach Duke on the hill with an ERA over 5 and a WHIP close to 1.6. Awful K/BB and K/IP ratio, Duke is simply hittable, and this Washington team should be able to score runs. Hell, I just talked myself into placing 1.5 units on the over here too.

Philadelphia is just a play against SF and against Morris. I think Philly is as good if not better than SF, pitching matchup should be a wash, if not in my favor. I'm just going to go against SF everytime, unless Schmidt is pitching.

g'luck!

I bet Minny too

I've gone insane, and as a result, I made all these bets this morning:

10.00/12.40 Result: Pending

Rockies(Colorado) +124

11.90/10.00 Result: Pending

Mets(NY) -119

20.00/18.18 Result: Pending

Angels(Anaheim) -1.5

10.00/11.10 Result: Pending

Mariners(Seattle) +111

10.00/10.80 Result: Pending

WhiteSox(Chicago) +108

12.00/10.00 Result: Pending

Rangers(Texas) -120

Alright, Mets hooked me up early, and have a parlay going as well as the Nats/Bucs over....so I decided to added a little parlay:

Milwaukee -106 (Davis)/Atl/SD over 7

Milwaukee bet is a pure Doug Davis bet. I think both offenses are about equal, but I think Davis is the man here. Tough pitcher, who has been pitching well, should keep me in the game. Hopefully we'll squeek out a run or two more and win this one.

SD/Atl game, I simply think the o/u is too low. Sure, two decent pitchers going in a pitchers park, but 7 pretty is a bit too low for me. Atlantas bullpen is not lights out. Both offense should be able to muster out 3 runs here, so I think I'll be okay.

g'luck

Gotta love the Nasty Nats tonight
Looked good on paper, not so much i guess. I'm glad I still haven't funded my account, looks like I still can't buy a win, plus I told AB I wouldn't be back until August :) . College Football can't come soon enough, that and playoff baseball.

Decent day overall. The Angels really bailed me out.

Today

NYM +100

Philly +109

Parlay NYM +100, Atl/SD U7.5 -125, Mil/AZ U8.5 -115

:tumbleweed:

I had a good day yeterday 2/2. I am hopeing this means things will be turning around for me. I have been really bad the last month or so.

Two plays today:

35803952-1 7/15/2006 10:41 AM Parlay 10.00 4,542.62

Baseball - 951 Los Angeles Dodgers +140 for Game

Baseball - 955 New York Mets +102 for Game

Baseball - 959 Colorado Rockies/Cincinnati Reds over 9½ +100 for Game

Baseball - 963 Milwaukee Brewers +117 for Game

Baseball - 966 San Diego Padres +115 for Game

Baseball - 970 Toronto Blue Jays -215 for Game

Baseball - 971 Texas Rangers/Baltimore Orioles over 9½ +100 for Game

Baseball - 976 Detroit Tigers -260 for Game

Baseball - 978 Minnesota Twins -170 for Game

Baseball - 980 Los Angeles Angels - 170(?)

Baseball - 959 Colorado Rockies/Cincinnati Reds over 9½ +100 for Game - 2 units - It will hot and humid in the queen city - perfect for the ovah in the GAB; Neither starter, given the heat and 6pm start will have the gas to go too long into the game this evening. That will expose the bullies on both teams and with Everyday Eddie having just pitched two in a row I would have to question if he is available today

DISCLAIMER: I will be at this one imbibing several beverages with my best friend of 20 years and wanna root for runs anyway;

Prosopis you and I are thinking a like - adding 2 units to the NYM and PHILS

Played a NYM/LAD parlay 1 unit to make a little over 4. Like both of my starters here, and think the offenses are strong enough to win it.

Turnbow put a little pain in me last night. Had a nice 2-game parlay I hit pretty hard since I'd be drinking.....and had it until Turnbow came in. Would have been nice to open my account this morning had that hit. Oh well.

Also, may hammer the over in the Atl/SD game again tonight. Last night 17 pitchers used. Both managers will be forced to keep their starters in a bit longer than normal, and at 7.5, I think both teams are scoring at least 3 runs again tonight. Will report back later.

g'luck

Placed a small bet on both the Yankees and the Dodgers.

Also took Suppan under 3.5 Ks and Dodgers O4.5 runs

Turnbow and Hoffman can forever blow me.

stupid Mets

Tonight is Saturday parlay night.

Parlay 1 Mil/AZ U8 -105, Atl/SD U7.5, LAA -175

Parlay 2 AZ -130, Mil/AZ U8 -105

Parlay 3 AZ -130, Atl -130, LAA -174

Well those are already made and now that I am looking at it I am not sure I really thought it through. I have an awfull lot riding on the Dbacks  .

Mil/AZ line this morning was U8.5 -115. I lost a half point. It must be getting hit pretyy hard.

 Lost both sides of today's parlay, fortunately only cost me a unit. Hammered the over in the Atl/SD game for 2.5 units. Got it at +103, see it's at +100 now.....can't believe it's still at 7.5 to be honest. Oh well, let's see some runs.

Also, add a small night time parlay:

Milwaukee (Capuano)

Atlanta (Smoltz)

LAA -1.5(Santana)

Santana is the nuts at home, and against TB frankly I don't care who's pitching. I think TB is packing it in for the year, and will start bringing up young guys soon to get their feet week. I'll play against TB every game Kazmir's not pitching, and I can get a decent value.

Atlanta is simply a play because I cannot conceive Chan Ho Park being a solid pitcher all year long. I think the Braves are going to be able to rough him up a bit, and considering everyone on SD pitched yesterday, I don't think the bullpen will be able to stop the bleeding.

Milwaukee should have won last night. I think Capuano will give me a solid 6-7 innings here, and hopefully a) they can score a few runs against Webb or b) stay tied and get into AZ's bullpen AND c) NOT BRING IN TURNBOW. AZ lost a valuable player yesterday in Counsell and I think they'll feel this loss.

g'luck

Yikes. I am on a hot streak. What's worked so far: bet the good pitchers on good team and lay the extra money. What hasn't worked: parlays and dogs.

I got killed today betting $30 on Detroit. But I made up for that and more with $40 on the NY Mets.

10 units on AZ -107

Thats right laying it down on Enrique Gonzalez.

I will be at the game tonight :banned: :banned: :banned: and if Enrique blows it look for me on sportscenter

Just kidding. I am looking forward to game. I would feel better if it was Webb but this is what I got.

Dbacks have injuries. I really dont like this bet but I am doing it anyway for fun.

I am stoked to go to the game.

Get to see the Drew brothers play against each other for the first time. I saw Steohen on a Dbacks show here and he said they have never been on opposing teams until tonight. Sounds similar to the Tiki/Rhonde Barber thing.

GL'uck with this - esp. with the need for the anniversary gift just days away!

I like a bunch of overs tonight - and looking at the Sagarin ratings for some of these starters how could you not?

Wash @ florida ( #62 @ # 95)

Colorado @ Pitt ( # 81 @ # 94)

Atl @ Stl ( # 69 @ # 106)

LAD @ Arz ( #38 @ # 64)

Philly @ SD ( # 77 @ # 48)

Oakland @ balt ( NR @ #92)

I may just have to play the Grand Salami ovah as well

also looking @ Wash + 108 and Seat + 159 - the first is a dog system and the second because I think the Yanks could be headed for a letdown after sweeping the ChiSox.

Will post plays later

My total on Saturday blew chunks - over 9.5 - got a total of 18 hits, a few walk, 2 hit batsmen and still only 5 runs :wall:

With you on the Grand Salami.

Who am I to go against the grand salami? Put me down for over 117.5 for 1.5 units.

Also punched:

Nationals (Armas)+106/over 9.5 Texas/Toronto (-130) 1.2 units to make 3 units.

Basically I think the Nationals play is a fade on Nolasco, and I think the Nats can outscore the Marlins. Armas is one of those guys who occasionally looks brilliant. Hopefully tonight is one of those nights. They just lost 2/3 at Pittsburgh, and I think they're better than that. May be a high scoring affair here, hopefully I'm on the good side.

Texas (Koronko)/ Toronto (Lilly) I have two mediocre starters going, but...two power house offenses. Toronto's bullpen is beat up, playing back to back extra inning games. Texas was just shut down by Rodrigo Lopez, and I think they'll be itching to hit. I see a slugfest, and a 9.5 number is too low, imo.

g'luck
