Dontrizzle looks good today.
Going to the Astros game tonight, so I gotta have me some action on Oswalt at -166, parlayed with Dontrelle +103 :thumbup: Also played the New York money line parlay....Yanks and Mets, 1 unit to win me 4.

g'luck
So, went to the Astros game and in the 6th inning, I'm feeling really good. It could have been the dozen or so adult beverages in me, but it also was the Astros up 4-1, Roy O on the mound, and the Marlins up about 6-0 at this time. Last call, order up a few more and then, WTF!!!!! :hot: :hot: Oswalt implodes. Okay, it's just tied up, we can do this. Lidge comes in, throws one in the dirt to allow the Twinkies to get ahead, but PWilson hammers home a tying homer. :hifive: :hifive:Bear in mind, I'm really feeling good right now (betting on every guy that is up whether he can make it out of the infield or not, stuff like this).

Now, I'm figuring Lidge is coming out for the 10th....but wait, WTF is that, oh no,please don't be, you've got to be ####### kidding me.....####### Gascan Miller. Me and my buddies have been very well behaved considering how many beers we've had, but when I see Miller on the mound, I scream (from the 4th row behind the Astros dugout no less) "OH NO GARNER, YOU BROUGHT OUT THE GAS CAN!!" People around me are chuckling, but I'm :hot: :hot: :hot: My buddies are egging me on, but I will not have it. Warm ups are over and I don't have that nice feeling any longer.

First ####### pitch, Morneau deposits out of left center, just a flat out bomb. I get up, and yell "####### GAS CAN!". I swear I think my whole section silenced just as I said that and a few blue hairs from the first row turned around to look at me. I told my buddies, let's get out of here, and we did....only saw one pitch in the 10th. :thumbup:

But, my NY parlay eased my pain, as that hit, and I won another $50 at the game off my buddies, so it was a good night. Will be back later with a few picks :thumbup:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Good stuff.I actually got off that game, upon closer review.

Taking the under 9 in the day game (Ana/SF). 2 units.

Neither team can hit right now, and while I think Weaver stinks, he's been okay of late. And while Lowry can also be lit up at times, Angels prefer righties a bit more. All it will take is for one of them to settle in today. Thought the number would be lower than 9.

Played an afternoon parlay for kicks:

Milwaukee -107/LAA +117

:shrug: No real method to my madness here, I went Milwaukee cause they're the home team and Capuano is a pretty solid pitcher. Went the LA because I think SF stinks, and LA can't be this bad all year long, can they?

g'luck

IT'S ANAHEIM MOTHER####ER!What, is this there all-of-a-sudden turn around game? They ain't hitting. Even Vlad is cold...looked bad last night, too. Actually, the one thing that HAS come around is their starting pitching so maybe that'll get you there.

You ARE right about SF, they stink. The sky is falling out here in the NL West.

Took Det -102. Anytime I get a team winning at a .600 clip with odds under -130, I am gonna take them. Its been working out well for me. Don't have any statistical analysis on the theory...Fade away.....

well it was25.00 / 459.11 (USD) Accepted 6/21/2006 6:28 PM - EST

which is 18-1 so I guess not! My Bad :bag: that is what I get while trying to post in a hurry before going to work out - thanks for having my back - too bad this was a loser :cry:

OK, Twins Stros over, 1 unit, for the #### of it
That's the only one I bet individually. 1.5 units, may add.
Not over yet, but you guys just missed 10 with that shot off Lohse hitting about a foot below the top of the wall in left.
Didn't see that. Damn, because I just noticed I hit the other two legs of that parlay I played (both dogs). That ball getting over would have netted me 13 units.Moving on, I don't see how Pedro should be a -230 favorite hoy. Taking the perro in this one.

Lost the day game, but will try to get it back tonight.

The NL West is predictably crashing and I will pile on by going against my Dodgers for the sweep. Lowe doesn't do it for me and Felix has flashed some light of late.

I also like a hot Minnie team with Liriano over Roger.

Hate to go against Brong here, but I like LA.

King Felix is way too inconsistent for me to back. He is 7-6 with an ERA over 5.00. And Seattle's offense is way too weak for my liking. I'm taking to Dodgers, and I'm taking the RL for +180. I think the Dodgers will be able to win at home, but a few runs....gimme a 6-3 final should be about right.

g'luck

I actually added (before I saw this) to make it a 5 unit play, but who knows.Agree with the inconsistency with Felix, but he has been better of late, winning his last 4. On the other side, Lowe's ERA has been climbing. Not sure what you're looking at with the offfense because Seattle has been lighting it up. They hit righties 30 pts better while the Dodgers hit righties 40 pts less. Seattle is hot, and the Dodgers are reeling, I follow them.

And everyone knows what I think of home run-lines, but whatever. It is just one game though, so anything can happen. Good luck. :thumbup:

tailing guru.

LA -1.5 +160

over 8 even
Nice hit guys! If you didn't watch, there was pretty much one play that decided the game. In the 6th with one out, Izturis hit a ball to the right side of the 2nd baseman and the guy booted it, instead of an inning ending double play. All 3 runs came after that. It wasn't a routine play by any means, but it was enough to infuriate me. :D The Dodgers played well though, as they pounded out a bunch of hits in this one. Anyway, good job guru, you were right. :thumbup:

I played a small one....

Minnesota (Santana) RL -120/Milwaukee (Bush) RL (+110)

Basically, I'm getting a red-hot Twins team, with arguably the best pitcher in the game, coming home against a weak hitting Cubs team. Played that with the Brew-crew who are playing basically .500 ball this year, with a so-so pitcher, but they are going up against the worst team major league baseball has to offer, with Bobby Keppel pitching...basically a AAA pitcher going for a AAA team. We'll see. Risking 1 unit to win 2.85.

Later, I'll be on the Dodgers again. We'll see how much I have to drink, coupled with how the early bet fares before posting any picks.

g'luck

Two plays

Moehler +227 vs. Wang

Florida is 9-1 in last 10, and in the last two starts Moehler has given up 2 ER each time. Too much value on the table to ignore

Carpenter -107 vs. Verlander

Carpenter has had two non-quality starts in last 10, and Verlander has given up 7+ hits in 4 of last 5 starts. I am gonna take Carpenter here

Thanks for the writeups, tangent coming...I really think it helps a lot to at least briefly go over why you are on a game. That way, others here can decide whether they agree or not. Maybe you show them something they didn't see before. I mean, we all follow different teams and/or different aspects. To me, it's great when someone throws caution at one of my picks -- for various reasons. It's really the best way for this thread to be more useful.

My support is on my blog, but here you go...

We're putting 1.17 unit on the Yankees (-1.5, -117) vs the Marlins today.**

* Starters' ERA (last 3): Wang 1.59, Moehler 6.00

* Mets are 6-0 in Glavine's last 6 road starts

* Mets are 11-1 in their last 12 road games

* more stats

We're putting 1.0 unit on the White Sox (-1.5, +115) vs the Astros today.**

* Starters (season): Contreras 7-0 & 2.96 ERA, Pettitte 6-7 & 5.44 ERA

* White Sox are the highest scoring team in the league (5.8 runs/game)

* White Sox are 41-14 in their last 55 games as a home favorite

* more stats

We're putting 1.17 unit on the Twins (-1.5, -117) vs the Cubs today.**

Didn't notice the time, so I couldn't get my Dodgers play in. :hot: :hot:

Now, I'm having trouble logging into Pinnacle. I think they've IP banned me after this run I've been on the past 3 weeks or so. :rant: :rant:

I am looking at Oak/SF U 8.5 and SF +1.5.

I think this will be a close low scoring game. Any thoughts on this? I am looking for something on this game. I got my leans after reading the stats at MLB and the trends of the 2 teams.

What do you think?

cross sport parlay paying 80 -1 cause i felt like it:

Baseball - 955 Houston Astros/Chicago White Sox over 10½ +100 for Game

I'm going to continue playing the hot teams until they let me down:

Parlay:

Dodgers -1.5 (+180)/Milwaukee -1.5 (+100) for 1 unit to win 4.

I get to play against arguably the two worst teams in the majors and get fair value laying a run and a half. Sounds good to me. With the Dogers I get the added benefit of getting the home team. What's not to like? The Royals are throwing Brandon Duckworth out there tonight, another AAA pitcher. They paid me last night, I think they'll pay me again.

Added:

Minnesota -1.5 (+175)/Over 10.5 Colorado/Texas 1 unit to win 4 again.

This one just looked too good to pass up. Let's break this down:

Minnesota - red hot, winning 10 out of their last 11, at home. I don't get the best starting pitcher here, but after Santana going 8 strong last night, I get a great bullpen that should be fresh if need be.

Chicago - Prior's second start off a lenghty DL stint. First start didn't go that well, letting up homers to what, everyone? The Cubs offense is weak, and still without Lee and Barrett...Juan Pierre not getting on base....Is Neifi Perez their cleanup hitter?

Colorado/Texas game in Colorado. Last night they put 14 up with two respectable starters, and tonight I get to face Josh Fogg and Robinson Tejeda? Tejeda's ERA is a robust 7.71 so far this year, an dI don't expect him to disappoint here, and Josh Fogg is friggin Josh Fogg. Added that both starters only went 5 innings last night, so the bullpens may not be at full strength, I think they could have set this o/u at about 12 and had been safe.

That's what I've got for tonight.

g'luck

I love how people cap games in regards to the bolded above. Josh Fogg is friggin Josh Fogg - yeah really? You don't think the books know this when making the line? Nice cash here.
