Drafted at 1.07 (Williams) and 1.13 (Evans) they obviously both have great potential to break out. One receiver has a great offensive coach for WRs (Williams) and the other receiver has a better/gunslinging QB (Evans)

Who do you guys see as having more value this year? and beyond?

JP Losman is better/gunslinging Qb than Kitna in Martz's offense??JP Losman sucks. He really does.

to me i have no doubt that Roy williams is better for the year and beyond.

L.evans is all or very little interm of production.

ROy willimams not only has the speed but also the size and system to play in (martz). i think kitna , williams and the system will gel more as the year goes on. factor in bufflao in Dec/jan and williams is easy

As owner of both, I like their potential if their OL's ever improve enough to give the QB time. Losman will be a good QB I think, in time. Kitna won't last long, and we'll have to see if Detroit drafts a QB or if Orlovsky gets a chance (if he "gets it", I'll be a strong Roy supporter)

ETA: If I had to choose, I'd take Roy.

I own both too. It's Roy Williams for this year. Lee Evans needs a better QB and another WR to help take the pressure off of him. JP Losman is starting to improve, but he makes really bad decisions sometimes. The jury is still out on him being able to suceed in the NFL. Bills are my second favorite team, so I'm pulling for him, but it's with cautious optimism.

Add me to the growing list of guys that have both. It is certianly a nice problem to have. I think Roy has the potential to be a top-five producer. Lee probably cracks the top-10, but I am not sure he will do much better than that.

Even though they both need quarterbacks, they have put up decent numbers, which shows just how taleneted they really are.

Roy was born to be a receiver. His abilities are freakish. This is the dawn of a Martz offense...you saw the damage he inflicted on a softish defense, and he could have done much more damage with a few better throws and a few more shoulda-caught-its (I know that's always the case, but if you saw the game you know what I mean). If he stays on the field, 1,300 and 10-12 scores. Book it.

From watching the Lions, I would have to say Roy is on the verge of big things. The talent has always been there and he's just starting to click with Kitna. And there's good developments on the O-line front: Ross Verba is healthy again at left guard and Jonathan Scott played really well at right tackle. Plus the defense is getting progressively worse every game, a trend that will likely continue because it's the Lions, so even an improved offense won't stop Detroit from having to throw-throw-throw for the entire second half.

Roy....

Compare and contrasting him w/ Evens isn't even a debate. I would say Roy and Andre Johnson would provide sufficient debate.

The only thing that I hesitate with in the Lions is their #2 WR situation. Until they find someone to put up the numbers and gain focus from the Def. Roy could have a tough road ahead.

Agree that Roy is better, but dont underestimate how talented Evans is. Guy can do it all.

Has anyone seen Kitna playing? how's he been doing? hows his backup?
Kitna is a big improvement over Harrington in that he can handle a rush and make good decisions with the ball. His accuracy is mediocre - he'll never be an elite QB - but he looks solid and completes enough passes to put up some numbers.
