If the Cards D stays the way it looked on this past Sun (which is what it is going to be considering they gave up 400+ yards to a rookie QB playing with no OTAs etc), Beanie is screwed since it means not many run plays in the 3rd and 4th quarter. You better hope the Ari D gets better fast, which I highly doubt.I thought this was gonna be about their W2 match-up. I hope this will be a big game for both as they try to show who is the better, fighting for starter status the last few years. I own and plan to play both. For the season, I REALLY like Ari schedule and if the Cards D stays the way it is, they will probably have to run more to keep the ball out of the opponents hands. I also like hightower in the Shanahan system. He's looked really good all preseason and as long as he holds onto the rock, should have a great one.
If they are playing from behind I see that. I think they have the O and the schedule to be ahead or at least close enough to want to slow the pace of the games, to give their D rests and to keep the ball away from the opposing teams. If the Cards D stays the way it looked on this past Sun (which is what it is going to be considering they gave up 400+ yards to a rookie QB playing with no OTAs etc), Beanie is screwed since it means not many run plays in the 3rd and 4th quarter. I don't know, I was thinking that some other RBs may get the ball in Wash but Hightower got nearly every carry in game 1 and finished with 25 carries and Helu had 1 and Hightower had all RB receptions. That's a pretty huge statement IMO...it's one game but where some thought it may be a RBBC or that Helu/Torrain may push him, it's CLEARLY Hightowers job to lose.I would probably say Hightower in a PPR league and Wells in a non PPR league.Wells generally is going to be the bellcow and has very little competition for carries. But as others have said, AZ's D could hurt him a little. But he did catch 4 passes and wasn't out of the game much.Hightower could see some competition for carries, especially if his fumbling problem comes back. But if not, he should catch 45+ passes and be a decent PPR #2RB.Either way, both look to be nice finds in the middle rounds when you loaded up on studs at other positons.
No doubt...and he will. At some point Shanny will either tire of his fumbling, THT will get dinged and Skeletor will stick with the "hot hand" or Shanny will just get bored and start someone else just to see how it works out.I don't know, I was thinking that some other RBs may get the ball in Wash but Hightower got nearly every carry in game 1 and finished with 25 carries and Helu had 1 and Hightower had all RB receptions. I think this concept is being way overblown. Yes, Shanny has used a number of RBs and gotten good production out of them in the past but which backs did he replace due solely to fumbles? Most of the guys that got replaced were due to injury or performance. No coach likes fumbles but Shanny obviously knew TH's fumble history, sought him out and traded for him, he was apparently giddy about getting him, he has a terrific TC and he's been firmly placed at the top of the depth chart since. Then when the action counted he got 97% of RB touches. I don't anticipate that ratio to continue but owners that took a shot at Helu are only going to get possible value if Hightower gets hurt....BTW he hasn't missed a game due to injury in his career. No doubt...and he will. Quite a bit different than the Week 2 "Wells Report":Rookie Roy Helu played 26 snaps against the Cardinals after seeing only two in the opener. What's more, Helu played all seven snaps on the game-winning drive. He and Fred Davis were the offensive MVPs in Week 2. Even if coach Mike Shanahan chalked up Helu's increased workload to an opportunity for a Tim Hightower breather, this backfield is starting to take on a committee feel.
Both quotes compliments of RotoworldWells continues to impress. Despite a slow first half that saw the Cardinals get slaughtered in time of possession, Wells ran fast and powerfully in the second half. He was targeted on two failed screens, but the Cards clearly see him as at least capable on third downs. And Wells was the obvious goal-line back, punching in a two-yard score. Wells is now averaging 5.71 yards per carry through two games.

And Wells just dropped 130+ and 3 scores on the Giants. HTH. <-- That means "Hope That Helps" not HighTowHer.Redskins coach Mike Shanahan has hinted he'll go with a committee at running back going forward."We’re going to play the best players," Shanahan said. "The good thing about it, we've got three football players at the running back position. All three guys can play. ... We'll play the hot guy."
