**Bears at Lions** (-6, 52.5) (1 Viewer)

All in on Kmet here.

With at Bear WR corp decimated and the Lion's horrible at defending against TE's, I gotta believe he has one more of those mid-season blowup games.....just in time for FF Championships.

The Lions were due last week after so many big wins and the Panther rushing offense was possessed, a perfect storm. I'm hoping they take care of business this week and other results set up a win and in showdown with the Packers next week.

Yes, the Lions were due to have a letdown game and had won a bunch of tough matchups on the road. I fully expect their D to show up at home tomorrow, but it won’t be easy containing Fields and that rushing attack. Let’s hope they sell out to stop the run and force him to beat them through the air.

Goff should have a very nice game and Amon Ra is due for a monster performance.

Maybe The Madden "game of the week?" Maybe an Arena League game breaks out? I expect Detroit to bounce back from last week and keep their playoff hopes alive. Chicago doesn't look like a team that has made off season plans just yet,but Detroit has more talent,Goff is a top 5 qb at home,so...

Lions- 37
Bears- 23

I really hope the above posters are correct and the Lions right the ship this week. If they blow this chance it's over.

DJ Chark has quietly been pretty good the last few weeks
Lions at home
Goff at home
All points to good things today

Should be a lot of points in this one

NGL I’m nervous

Will be listening to the hometown radio broadcast & watching the local feed of the NYJ @ SEA

Really need that L - and we still won’t get in unless the Cowboys play their starters & best the ‘manders next week

I suppose theoretically the Browns could upset WAS on the road - after all, it is Carson Wentz, he could come up small

Don’t really like our chances but it’s good to at least be alive

FS Kerby Joseph will be back
SS Deshon Elliott likely out

Lot of speculation the absence of Elliott was a huge factor last week when they surrendered 320 rushing yards

Listening to AG & MCDC this week didn’t sound like they made or intend to make a lot of adjustments

IDK enough to argue one way or another but watching the film out guys were constantly out of position

Sometimes it was nobody setting the edge, just as often there were several chunk plays on simple counters/traps up the gut

Part of their prep is self-scouting - if I were playing us, how would I attack this team - so it’s possible there were specific things they found & there’s no value in sharing that with the media

I thought Detroit was a 6-7 win roster in the preseason. Other than the emergence of James Houston as a pass rushing specialist - 5 sacks in 73 snaps - not a lot of surprises. I did not foresee amy of the streakiness. In hindsight (which is way easier lol) young teams will be inconsistent.

Still can’t explain last week. They had been on a high level for 7 weeks and maybe they were due for regression/variance. Throughout the 6-1 stretch they maintained gap responsibility, Week 16 they were not communicating.

We legit shut down Saquon Barkley and Dalvin Cook. How do you explain getting boat raced by Chubba Hubbard D’Onta Foreman?

Chicago has lost 8 straight and 11 out of 12. But they can def run on Detroit, gashed us badly first time around (3 50+ plays.) Okudah turned it around with a pick 6 caused by Hutch dropping off to cover the TE.

Goff hasn’t thrown an interception in his last 261 passes. Chicago has a very inexperienced secondary that is exploitable.

Jared Goff ranks over the last 5 weeks:

Rank
Interceptions 0 1st
Pass TD 11 t-4th
Pass Yards 1,517 3rd
Pass Rating 107.3 3rd

Yet I don’t feel good about this team rn. Our run game has been non-existent for the last month. Thought we had a defense that was improving, then they gave up 570 yards.

Probably part of my morning morass is U of M hangover disappointment.

Detroit 30
Chicago 20

I'm taking every home team, be it the fav or the dog today, nothing but home teams on NYD
Hoping to buck the trends and go like 12-3, I need it to catch my NFL Pool, season long

Lions went with a 5 man front most of that drive, with James Houston in at OLB

not saying 59 blew that one but he was lined up across from 85 and nobody covered the TE after he blitzed

SACK

8.0 7.5 for Hutch

switched to 0.5 for Cominsky

announcers think Fields is hurt

the way he’s running Imma say no

turnover

James Houston IV FF
Aidan Hutchinson FR

Houston has been playing 5-17 snaps per week

Today he is in just about every down & making his presence felt

Lions rookies stepping up (youngest defense in the NFL)

He is too much of a beast not to be in there. His big play to snap ratio is easily tops in the league.

Goff 16/29 172 2 TDs

24-10

Giants are up 21-3 so they’re pretty much in at 9-6-1

need a Commanders loss (leading Browns 7-3 at the half) or Seahawks loss in the 4pm game v Jets

Fields is being checked for concussion protocol
He's looked wobbly on several of his runs today, scary
I think Fields should think about switching positions to RB or slot WR
He's not going to make it as a QB, won't survive all the "Spotters in the Stands"

Bears first half rushing

14-173-12.4

even if you take out Fields 60 yarder they’re still gashing Detroit for 8.7 / att

thankful Chicago has dropped back 12 times lol

****************

Aidan Hutchinson is the first rookie DL to record 3 INTs

Imagine pairing Hutch with another playmaker like Myles Murphy.
