Bears might get lucky again (1 Viewer)

I can't recall how many 2nd/3rd string QBs the Bears have faced, but it's been a few:

vs Det - 2nd string Hill came into game after Stafford injury

@ Car - Clausen/Moore split time

@ Mia - 3rd string Thigpen

@ Det - 3rd string Stanton

@ Min - 3rd string Joe Webb most of the game

vs Jets - might face Brunell

They won all the games above so far

Hmmm... then I'm hoping this continues all the way through the Superbowl. It might be the only shot our Bears have.

Yes. Anyone who hasn't seen first-team reps all year is likely worse off than the starter in their first game. Starting BEars D and Urlacher for money-league championship

Is Brunell really worse than Sanchez? I know the guy is old but he has the experience.
I don't follow back-up QB's, especially on teams that primarily rely on a stout defense and rushing attack, but I had no idea Brunell was still in the NFL.

They have been fortunate because all these QBs suck, but all these QBs replaced QBs that were not much better (except for maybe Stafford, who the Bears knocked out fairly late if I remember right).

They were supposed to, and did. Can't fault them for doing their job.

The way I see it the gameplan against the Jets is force Sanchez into mistakes. No Sanchez.

That means a lot more running the ball and defense. And the Jets defense is good enough to keep it close, unlike the Vikings, Panthers, and Detroit.

Yeah, Mark Sanchez is pretty bad.. Not Chad Henne bad, but very bad in his own right.

I don't think not facing him qualifies as "lucky".

Lets not fool ourselves, the Bears lost that game.

I can't believe how lucky the Bears are. They are always playing injured teams, they are always playing on that poor excuse of a field it's the worst in the NFL, their defense is over rated, Hester gets lucky WAY too much, Cutler is a terrible QB behind the worst o-line in the NFL, they can't stop the pass, the cover 2 gives up too many yards, Forte isn't even a good NFL running back, and they have a weak schedule. Oh, and Cutler sucks, did I say that yet?

They should be 0-14, not 10-4.

Every team should have beat the Bears by 30. How have they won a game at all???

I remember when i was like 7 years old this guy was the starting QB for my favorite college team, the Washington Huskies. At that point they were one of the best teams in the country...i think...my memory doesn't go back that far anymore (that's how old i am) and Brunell is still playing, lol...too funny.

Bears just suck at sucking to expectations.
