Bears vs Dolphins Game Thread (1 Viewer)

Dolphins declared FS Chris Clemons, QB Chad Henne, C Joe Berger, WR Roberto Wallace, TE Jeron Mastrud, OT Matt Kopa, DE Clifton Geathers, and CB Nate Ness inactive for Week 11 against the Bears.

Rookie Reshad Jones will step in at free safety and veteran Cory Procter will play center with Berger out. Tyler Thigpen has plenty of experience with Procter from their time together as backups. LT Jake Long will play through his labrum tear.

Bears inactives: LB Pisa Tinoisamoa, QB Caleb Hanie, DL Corey Wootton, DL Barry Turner, OL Edwin Williams, RB Kahlil Bell, DB Josh Moore, and TE Desmond Clark inactive for Thursday night's Week 11 game at Miami.

I know this is WDIS, but would anyone bench Marshall for Mike Williams Bucs this week? Can we trust the Miami QB?

I did. I own both of them. Marshall just hasn't performed. However, I'm really hoping that, starting this week, Thigpen proves to be an upgrade for Marshall.I also snagged Fasano and put him on my bench, just in case last week meant big things for him. And Thigpen is on my bench as well, just in case he explodes. Let's hope for the best!

Don't have a good feeling about this for the Bears. Wouldn't be shocked to see a real stinker

The new Bears are very cautious on offense. Is Martz still calling plays?
I'm thinking the bears had a hear to heart with Martz this week to tone it down and just try and put 24 on the board. I don't think the dolphins are going to hang a 25 plus on the bears D.

A lot of negative plays for the Dolphins early on. Not the recipe the Dolphins are used to cooking with... Thigpen looks ok though.

I liked what I saw out of Thigpen when he played in KC. But yeah, the Dolphins have to avoid the negative plays and stay out of 2nd and 3rd and longs.

A 3rd string QB, another team that has trouble moving the ball and an erratic QB, Joe Theisman and Matt Millen in the booth, and lots and lots of commercials between choppy plays. What could be better?

At least there's football, glorious football. Not even Theisman and Millen and the awful NFL Network production values can take that away from us, though they do try their best.

Sound Quality on NFL Network Games:

Does anybody else notice the quality of sound of these Thursday night games broadcasted by the NFL Network as opposed to ESPN, NBC, etc...?

Last week, I couldnt hear the croud. This weak, the sound does not sound as "good" as the other stations. Can I say "cheap" sound?

I wonder if they dont have to budget for the technology like the other networks or maybe their booth has something to do with it.

Any college broadcast majors have any thoughts?

I don't think Wake will get any more 1-on-1 chances versus the rookie RT on passing downs.

I love the ack but wish he was more aware that he knocked the ball down. Miami should have recovered that ball but he was ready to do the sack dance...just saying. Miami now setting up on defense again near the 50...not good.

I rewound to the Cutler fumble and looked at his mechanics. He drops back and keeps the ball at his waste then brings it up to his chest then drops it back down to waste then starts his motion to throw like hes a shortstop. If you watch the good QB's, they dont loosely hold the ball like this. As a smaller boned qb he needs to keep that ball up and tighten it to his body

Why o why couldnt the phins get that fumble! It was right at his feet!

The Bears Oline is just not good. But Millen thinks Tice did a great job with them, so you got that going for you.

Good catch, Cutler has been criticized for holding the ball too low since college.

Waistbasket?

Would have been a great throw by Cutler had his receiver not been completely blanketed. Was there no secondary read on that play?
