Bears vs. Giants Game Thread (1 Viewer)

Barber is going to steal carries and potentially the starting job from Forte if Forte isn't careful.

I've increased Forte's risk and have lowered his projections.
Forte's abilities to catch the ball in this offense is the reason Barber will not steal as much from him as you think. He will get more goalline for sure. But Forte is too good out of the backfield comparatively for Martz to do this.
Yes he may steal carries and yes he does catch the ball well, but he doesnt have the skill set anymore that compares to Forte. Martz's system is Forte, besides Barber looked done last year running behind a really good Dallas line. This is preseason, wait till we see him when the games really count behind this atrocious line. :X

LHUCKS, I've seen you mention the risks surrounding your projections in a couple of threads now (e.g. Ray Rice) and can get behind the concept. I'm just wondering if you've used the different levels of risk and projections to create some form of value highlighting which players have the greatest variances, would be interested to see which players you have grading out as higher risk or lower risk if it's something you've done.

Watched the game and was completely unimpressed with the Chicago WR's. Roy dropped at least two balls. Hester had at least one BAD drop and a few other plays where he tried to make something out of nothing and ran backwards. I don't own Knox, nor do I think he's all-world, but he's far and away a better pass catcher than either Roy or Devin and I could see him getting his job back from that schlub RW.

Cutler looked VERY GOOD outside of a couple plays. He could have thrown one away to avoid a sack, he slightly under threw/threw too close to the sideline a pass to Hester that Hester MAY have been able to take to the house (likely would have been cut off). Took note of Jay actually SMILING and patting his chest to take blame. Cutler's throws were crisp, but his WR's were just bad last night.

ROY is the savior of the wide receiving core and Knox is a bum and doesn't deserve to start. Just ask the coaching staff.

I thought that throw was simply incredible. I know it wasn't perfectly on target, I think it was too far to the sideline more than it was under thrown. None the less, it was a throw I don't think any more than 3 other guys can even make. He stepped up in the pocket to avoid the outside pressure and slinged that ball 50+ yds w/o having time to properly set his feet or turn his body. It was a rope too. He had to riffle it in there to beat the S covering over the top and I think that's why he pushed it too far to the sideline. Incredible throw IMO.
