Beason? (1 Viewer)

Just 3 total tackles? Did anyone see the game today and have any insight?
 Beason didn't have a single stat in the second half. I asked if he was out there in the game thread in the shark pool twice and no one ever responded. If I had to guess, I'd bet his knee was acting up and he got pulled, but I have no concrete evidence of that. It is just unfathomable that he couldn't get in on a single tackle for an entire half. I counted 43 solo tackles for Carolina on Yahoo's stat sheet and Beason only had 2 of them. But on MFL, they have him with only 1 solo. Either way, it was all in the first half.

I have him at 1 solo, 2 assists. He seems to not be the same guy this season. Thomas Davis is piling up the tackles this season.

Count me in on the crowd that has no clue as to why a scrub like Davis is dominating a super star like Beason in the box score week in and week out...... I don't get to watch their games, so how about some insight.....

I am shocked about Beason as well. But I had Davis as a great LB2 option and a lock for 90-100 tackles, 3 sacks, 2 ff, 5-6 pd this season. He is not a superstar but is by no means a scrub.

Thomas Davis is not a scrub.
How many people drafted him as a LB1 this year, and how many people drafted Beason as THE LB1 this year, let along a LB1? Anyway, it's disturbing to see TB blow away JB in the box score this year.
just b/c he wasn't drafted as a LB1 doesn't mean he's a scrub. he put up 92 solo tackles and 3.5 sacks last season.plenty of tackles available for both players to be very productive starters.

even more tampa2 looks from carolina this year(helps WLB) and the Panthers just don't have any big bodies left(due to injuries) to protect Beason. Beason is not a very big guy by any means. he just cannot slip/shed all the bodies getting to him. now with a knee injury to sapp his quickness he can be taken out of plays at times very easily. the WLB doesn't get nearly the attention and can simply just 'chase' down plays, and Thomas Davis being a primo athlete can do just that(extremely well).

and Thomas Davis is far far from a Scrub, many of us having been waiting for him to explode for years. when u think WLB in tampa2 Thomas Davis is pretty close to a dream scenario
