Seattle Seahawks have the 32nd rated passing offense in the NFL. They are averaging 5.3 yds per carry on the ground and are rated in the top 2 on running and passing defense. The defense didn't allow a touchdown yesterday vs the Rams. Russell Wilson is making the wrong reads which is something we should expect as a rookie QB but this team is ready to be good now and can't wait for Russell Wilson to get better. Is it time to give Matt Flynn a chance and let Russell Wilson learn from the sidelines? I say yes

Pete Carroll just told Brock and Salk on ESPN 710 Seattle that Flynn still has an elbow issue.
That's interesting because it leaves open room for some doubt as whether or not they ARE going with the guy they say they want to. Do they have doubts and simply can't make a move? Would they have already tried something different? This is the issue I asked about in a different thread: If you commit to the rookie from day one, it is much harder to back track wheras you can always start with a vet and transition in (giving the rookie some actual real weeks to continue acclimate). The Seattle defense is very good and they had a few games at home which is a legit HFA. But losing both road games and ranking dead last in offense is a really bad spot. For most teams, and especially without a defense to keep them in games, I think most teams would have made a switch just trying to jump start things by now. A month is a long time and a big part of a NFL season. And with the way the Cards are playing in their division, they will need to do something fast to keep pace with both them and San Fran.
