I could be wrong (it's been known to happen) but I don't think a team led by Andy Dalton will ever make any noise in the playoffs. He's solid enough to win some regular season games, but he's got a severely limited upside. He's gonna need an '85 Bears/'00 Ravens type of defense to carry him.
Marvin Lewis is one of the worst coaches in the NFL and should've been fired years ago. He's done this before- get to the playoffs and then play conservative, PLAY TO LOSE. He's terrible. His players reflect his bad coaching- run a 7 yard route on 4th and NINE. Dalton missed the crucial throw to Green for a pretty easy TD and that's on him. But if I was a Bengal fan I'd be campaigning hard to get ML canned. The owner should've canned him a minute after the game. Houston gave the Bengals all the chance they needed to beat them (they also played weakly) but Lewis immediately turns it down a few notches to make sure they don't run away with it or anything, lol. If HOU plays that way against the Pats they will get torched for about 45. The Bengals would've been torched for about 60.
