Bengals vs Lions (1 Viewer)

It's not sold out here in Detroit, so it's on tape delay starting at 930pm.

I have listened on the radio and Kenny Irons hurt his ankle and the cart took him away from the sidelines.

No catches for Calvin. I thought Martz was going to get him involved.

Not watching the game but watching the scoring on NFL.com. Except of the long pass JT O Sullivan isn't looking that good.

Palmer, Rudi, Hooch, Chad must have been cleaning house according to the numbers while they were in there.

Rudi J 5 carries 32 yds; 1 catc 7 yds

Tinker Bell 6 carries 19 yds

As a Kevin Jones owner, this is great news. I expected Tinker Bell to be useless like he has always been

Mike Furrey 1 catch 23 yds

As a Furrey owner in a WCOFF Sat league, this just shows what I always thought. He will continue to be very solid in PPR leagues. Calvin Johnson has not yet done squat in this league.

As a Carson Palmer and Chris Henry dynasty owner, I am thrilled. Henry is a beast if he can just keep himself out of trouble.

C. Henry 9 yard TD

Shayne Graham 10 pts

Calvin's got first catches for 24 and 21 yards!

this does not surprise me. when KJ is healthy it is his job
:lmao: It's preseason, guy.
watched Bell the past 2 years in Denver  , they traded him for a reason, guy
Dre Bly down?FWIW, I think the job could be KJs when he's back. I just think writing off TB because of preseason is ridiculous.
There's really no could about it. KJ is far better if he is healthy.

really, one can write off T.Bell because of his lack of game in all four seasons

not writing him off because of preseason but for past seasons. and yes I am a Bell owner :bag:

Two catches in a row for Calvin for 45 yards. Kid is a beast
It was against another rookie so not getting that excited. He burnt Hall....lets not crown him.
 who's crowning him anything? just saying he looks impressive out there. second catch was 10 feet in the air.
Trust me as Lions fan I hope he is great but after our recent picks you tend to wait and see approach. didnt actually see the catches live on TV so I will take your word for it.

I saw him at practice and he is HUGE. He towers over everyone. You can't help but see the talent every time he does something.

I'm a Bengal fan in Tennesse and spent the weekend with a friend to watch this.

Rudi looked very good...even showed decent hands on a screen.

Carson looked good of course.

TJ looked good of course.

Eric Ghiaciuc looks VERY good.

Shayne Graham looks good...looks like he's added some lenght on FG's. He's been hitting long ones in practice too.

Irons was hurt, but was walking on his own, but is out for the game most likely. Had a nice run when he was hurt.

Ahmad Brooks looks good in coverage. Good sign. Not much in run stoppage, but not many opportunities.

Justin Smith is getting good push.

Leon Hall looked like he needs some work.

Watson seems to be the 3rd down back bc of his pass catching.

O-line seems deep.

Madieu Williams looked great.

Doug Johnson looked bad.

Chris Henry played a lot in the first half...No match for the Detroit backups...almost unfair.

Kendrick Allen looked good with the 2nd string. Good sign.

Peko looked good and played a lot.

-thats my thoughts on the 1st half.

Tatum Bell has only been in the league for three years and has averaged 4.9 Y/R for his career. Last year he had 1000 yards in 13 games (really 998 through 12 games) and the previous season he had 921 yards and 8 TDs on 173 carries. That's flashing some nice skill. Writing him off will only help you lose your league.
ok

Trust me as Lions fan I hope he is great but after our recent picks you tend to wait and see approach. didnt actually see the catches live on TV so I will take your word for it.
 then watch the tape delay, and #### until you watch it :lmao:

Shaun McDonald also looks VERY good. made some nice catches.

His long td also illustrates perfectly what kind of impact Calvin has...both safeties went to CJ and McDonald ran all alone right down the center of the field.

Thank you. Just checked the stats, don't get the game out here. 5 / 146 / 1 seems impressive. Any more impressions on how he's playing?IOW, can he be the #3, or is that Furrey for sure?

Anyone counting on KJ doing anything this year is fooling themselves. He's not close to being ready and I think he's coming back too soon and will make the injury worse. It's tinker bells job ........ all year.

I would think that it is Furrey's job for sure...

As a Michigan fan, I'll tell any Bengals fan that Leon Hall is flat out AWFUL. The worse pick of the entire 2007 NFL draft.

Not watching the game just following along on CBS sportsline. Seems the Bengals D is not looking that good. I think if thats the case that they are going to be in a LOT of shootouts.

i'm actually watching the game and commenting on how certain players look. you came in to give the usual "lions picks always suck" tripe. real mature indeed.

Furrey made another catch that he seemed to patent last year....diving over the middle. He's easily #2. but ROY, Furrey, Calvin, and McDonald as a foursome is rather promising. Watching tonight, Mcdonald will definitely have a handful of long tds this year.

I just want to remind everyone how stupid the Lions were to IR Stanton...

Obviously, being hurt he wouldn't be playing now, but seeing all the scrubs, remindind me of how I'd like to see a young QB in the game at this point...

Learn to read. I said I am a Lions fan too but with recent picks most of us take a wait and see approach. Nothing in there says Lions picks suck. Grow up.

Yes and have the guy workout all season. So what if he carries the clipboard most of the year?

I love football... I can't believe the first action I've been able to watch is a 4th quarter Lions vs Bengals game, and I am enjoying seeing some of these youngsters making some plays.

Any homers have anyone worth keeping an eye on?

What is your definition of work out?I don't care what your expectations are of the Lions this year. If Stanton could have had a chance to take some snaps in a game, and practice with the team he'd be MUCH further along come next per-season.

I'm really surprised there isn't more O'Sullivan buzz in here. The guy looks very comfortable in this system and Martz has raved about him. If Martz could take Warner from the arena league and make him a star, I see plenty of reason to be optimistic about O'Sullivan. He comes cheap now in dynasties, so why not roll the dice?

Has he been in yet?
