I have other options, don't want to say who they are so as to not start a WDIS thread. Benson has a very sweet matchup, and looked like a decent option last week against Washington. He's getting 20 touches, and the bengals should be in for a game. Anybody brave enough to start him, if so over who and what do you expect?

I think he could top 100 and a touch against the browns, agree?

I am awaiting Addai's status (I have Rhodes). If it looks as though they will be splitting carries, I may stick Benson in there. I like his matchup next week vs KC as well. Yes, my league has the SB in week 17

I think that's the key word. Desperate, not bold. Benson is one of those guys you play when you don't have much else. You never play him above a bona fide good RB even if he has a better match up, especially in a championship playoff game. It has to be one of those 'last resort' situations. Just too many weeks of nada to trust anything with him.

anybody else have a choice between him and Ronnie Brown? I am going to start Benson over Brown, at least he's getting 20 carries per game, i don't know what Brown can do for me anymore with his 10-15 touches.

If you are conssidering Benson, is the thinking that Dorsey will play so bad (keeping the Browns offense off the field) that the Bengals will just pound the rock and grind out the clock?

If Foster goes vs. STL, I'm playing him over Benson. Otherwise I wouldn't have a problem playing Benson this week. He's going up against the 28th ranked rush D in the league, he's getting plenty of touches, and they're throwing to him occasionally. There are definitely worse options this week.

I have the same dilemma at my RB#2 slot. CJ, who has started all year and helped me get to the title game, or Benson (also have Tatum Bell but he's a distant third in this conversation). Right now I'm leaning towards Benson, although I'm going back and forth. CJ could get some yardage in the passing game. Weather could also play a factor this Sunday.The matchup part of my brain says Benson.The experience part of my brain says don't bench a solid starter in the title game.

I'm tossing around Benson v. Ward v. Larry Johnson.I'm currently leaning towards Johnson but I've gone back and forth on the issue.

Benson over CJ3 for sure. Pitt vs RB's is tough enough. CJ3 vs 3-4 Defenses is not stellar either.

Agreed. I have LT, Morris, Rhodes and Benson and I'm leaving Benson on the bench. I do expect to use him next week (provided I have a next week).

Benson did well yesterday for those who played him. Wondering about his long term prospects now. Does anything think he's solidifying his role as the starter for next season, or will the Bengals go out and draft/sign someone else?

I HAD to start Benson, due to injuries as my #3 RB & I was nervous all week.Now, obviously I'm glad I did. but honestly, if he had gotten shutdown; I would not be responding to this thread.

I was in the same boat--pure luck that I started him over a questionable Marshawn Lynch. He has me ahead by 9 in my superbowl going into Monday night (my opponent has Ryan Grant and I have Matt Forte).Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good!
