Yeah, a couple of V albums out that are really good. That one and MetzMeanwhile in England...
V by The Horrors is as good as anything they've ever done.
Liking what I'm hearing from the new Wolf Alice so far.
That link has the video embedded, but check out the Freaked Out American Loser album on Spotify and let me know how bad I should feel about myself.Juiceboxxx is a tricky guy. He's got a track where he filters classic Beastie Boys style Hip Hop through a post-Rosenstock lens. On another, he seems to mock and embrace 80s synth-pop in equal turns. But here, Juiceboxxx is a man of many forms. In lieu of his usual throwback stance, on "Destruction and Redemption" he kicks it into high gear, pulling 77 power-pop into neo-hardcore territory, resulting in a track that's as catchy as it is thrashy. This rips, man.
I like this one a lot.Listening to protomartyr new album.
He sure loves questioning the meaning of life.
you should be ashamed of yourself.I have a confession to make: I really like the new the new Juiceboxxx album... and I think I hate myself for it.

Right?you should be ashamed of yourself.
or at least, that's how I feel about myself for liking this. the more rapped stuff is painful though.
reminds me a little bit of russell simins, public places (which I love). but not as good because of the painful rappy stuff.Right?
But I keep playing it anyway![]()
the whole album is good. keeps it at a pretty nice consistent standard with some decent singles.I never remember whether I like Death From Above 1979... a bit affected. but so far I'm liking track 1 off their new one, Nomad.
this popped up no my release radar too... when I saw it listed it was a bit of head-scratcher, but then yeah- really cool to hear. The "Raw Sessions" version of 'We are the Champions' that was on my release radar this week is one of the best things I've ever heard. And I'm only a little bit day drinking for Canada thanksgiving.
I liked Wolf Parade a lot. I haven't listened to Kelela but assume it's AOTY for Tasker...Wolf Parade's first album in seven years is worth the wait if you like the band and worth a listen if you don't.
I love one-named R&B singers more than most of you but Kelela's debut Take Me Apart is really, really good.
Yep, that's me and I loooooove Foals. I'll check it out.I think it's Northern Voice or Ilove80s that's an Ought fan?
Lo Tom was on my discover weekly this morning- their eponymous album has an Ought vibe, with a little more rocking to it. a bit of Foals too.
He better keep his hands off my new baeI liked Wolf Parade a lot. I haven't listened to Kelela but assume it's AOTY for Tasker...

These are Pittsburgh guys. One of them was previously in a band with a friend of mine. Pretty sure I hoofed that old band ages ago, but not positive.
Kim Phuc -- "Copsucker"huh... cool. try to remember the band... I might have upped it from you.
the full album is out... "f-ing in the future +5" and is really, really good.
I guess this is their third album- I stumbled onto their 2nd one from last year, which I liked a lot. feels like they've let it rip a little more this time- looser, more jangly/feedback... rocks out more. really like it.
the name is ringing bells, but my ipod from the hoof days has stopped talking with my computer so no way of checking.
Oh, ####!Can Con alert!!!
New Rural Alberta Advantage and Stars albums are out today.
Edit - The Pack A.D. as well
Planning on 5 by year end :|I see King Gizzard has a 3rd album on the year?
I think any first listen of a Beck album is genuinely fun. They don't all capture me, but no artist has me anxiously wondering 'what has he done this time?' like BeckI may tire quickly of the superficial charms of Beck's Colors but it's a really fun listen
I'm bumping this one. I've really been enjoying it. Defintely a punk-pop sound. "Every day's the weekend" is a great tune.Alex Lahey - I love you like a brother. Good pop album.
This is an outtakes album from 2007 fyirelease radar hopefuls:
spoon (!?... new album?) ... eta: this was good, felt looser than typical stuff- diving into the full album later
ah- too bad. looser spoon is good spoon though. will still give it a listen. This is an outtakes album from 2007 fyi
did you try Lo Tom?Yep, that's me and I loooooove Foals. I'll check it out.I think it's Northern Voice or Ilove80s that's an Ought fan?

didn't love cherry bomb, but there's some other stuff on this that's great.ah- too bad. looser spoon is good spoon though. will still give it a listen. This is an outtakes album from 2007 fyi
That whole album/EP was released in 2007 along with Ga Ga Ga Ga I think. If I remember, their are some unreleased and a few instrumentals. I saw the same song as you on release radar today - it looks like they've done a reissue of Ga Ga Ga... so they've resent this as well.didn't love cherry bomb, but there's some other stuff on this that's great.
do you know- is it all different versions of released songs, or are some of these previously unreleased?
