According to this study Germany is the best country in the world in which to live. Factors included sustainability, adventure, cultural influence, entrepreneurship and economic influence. The US is considered the "most powerful" and finished #4 overall behind Canada who was #2 (so now they have this and hockey).

Can't believe it took until post #17.I've been curious to watch how Germany is handling this new influx of immigrants. We have a friend from Germany and last time he was in the states he was telling me how much the Turks are disliked by Germans. He said they were anti-social, didn't want to assimilate, and didn't reign in their children's behavior (lack of respect for others). It's just one man's opinion though, but interesting.

My cousin, who has lived in Germany his entire life, echoed this; yet he and countless other Germans either vacation or own vacation homes in Turkey. It's an odd dynamic.

I have video on my phone of a pretty large and pretty vocal Turkish protest march in Munich during Oktoberfest. I thought they should calm down and go have a few mass, but they were pissed off about something. I couldn't understand them, but one dude was carrying a large Turkish flag.
