Who has posted the best games at each primary IDP position?

Here's a few off the top of my head:

DT:

Week 6, 2008, Kevin Williams vs. Detroit

8 solos, 4 sacks, 28 points

DE:

Week 6, 2007, Osi vs. Philadelphia

6 sacks, 2 FF, 41 points

OLB:

Week 9, 2007, James Harrison vs. Baltimore

9 solos, 1 assist, 3.5 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, 1 pick, 1 pass defensed, 1 fumble recovered, 50.75 points

ILB:

Week 13, 2006, Demeco Ryans vs. Oakland

14 solos, 1 assist, 1 sack, 1 FF, 1 FR, 1 interception, 3 PD, 42.25 points

S:

Week 7, 2002, Adrian Wilson vs. Dallas

6 solos, 2 assists, 1 sack, 3 interceptions, 30 points

CB:

Week 10, 2007, Antonio Cromartie vs. Indy

6 solos, 3 interceptions, 4 PD, 30 points

just off the top of my head, I think p-will had some 20 tackle game last year or the year before.

briggs had a monster game 2-3 years ago, and I think harris might've had one of those 20 tackle games in '07.

I think reed(?) and barber might've had a game where they returned 2 picks for td's in the last 2-3 years, and osi had that monster sack game.

one that i remember off the top of my head that hasn't yet been mentioned is one by Mike Vrabel in '07. If i remember correctly he had 3 sacks, a TD reception, and 8+ tackles.

ETA: just checked espn, and apparently he had 11 solos, 2 assists, 3 sacks, 3 FF's, and a touchdown reception.

Willis' game was a 4 PM, Week 16 contest (Won my IDP Super Bowl late for me) in Dec., 2007....Ours is a tackle heavy league & I know he had more than 20 total (& most were solos). David Harris' FIRST game starting that year was a 20+ Tackle one also I believe (also on my team that year, along with Beason, all 3 rookies - THANK YOU FBGUYS). Ed Reed returned TWO picks for TDs Vs. Philly last year per an earlier post mention....

That week 16 monster game from Willis won me my league scoring title, but I think the Harrison week 9 outburst is the greatest. Forrest Whitaker in "Fast Times At Ridgemont High" was the reference we used in my league. The guy who started Harrison needed every single to point to win that week.

Lito Sheppard - Week 5 - 2006

7 Passes Defensed

1 Interception Return TDs

2 Interceptions

102 Interception Return Yards

7 Defensive Tackles

1 Defensive Assists

Derrick Thomas' 7 sack game has to get fit into the discussion somewhere. And it wasnt cheap, as they lost 17-16.

He also had another 6 sack game, where he left early in a blow out vs. the Raiders.
This game was the first to come to mind for me. If I recall Thomas also had 8 solos, not sure if they were giving IDPs credit for solo with sack back then. He just missed an eighth sack on the final play of the game. So much of this is dependent on your leagues scoring, in terms of what folks will recall.

great games, all! Yeah, I thought of Derrick Thomas' 7 sack game, and I immediately checked Harris' 20 solo game, but Harrison and Ryan's games topped them both in FBG scoring, so that's what I included.

Great game by Sheppard!

Krumrie was a beast, but I don't trust tackle numbers from back then, as they were neither official nor consistent. You'll see that Reggie White had about 150 tackles in a season "back in the day", and I think that Hardy Nickerson was credited with 220+ tackles one year.

The most dominant game I've ever seen by an IDP (yes biased) was Harrison's asswhuppin' of the Ravens that season.

He was EVERYWHERE on that field. He was dominating at the line of scrimmage, on special teams, he was just eating those poor Ratbirds alive.

Great stuff though, keep 'em coming!

Michael Strahan had a nice week 1 performance in 1998 vs. Washington. 2 sacks, an INT, and a TD. Don't remember how many tackles he had that day but I remember being glad I wasn't playing against him.

Joey Porter week 2 in 2002-11 solo, 1 ast., 3 sk, 2 pd, 2 int, 114 int. return yards
:blackdot: , came here to post this. This guy won the game for me by himself that week. He got me like 60 pts lol.
Yeah, it was and still is the scoring record in my local league for any player and the league has been around for like 15 years. Sacks are worth 6 points and ints. are worth 8 points.

same, my local league has inflated scoring. Solos are worth 2 pts each, assists 1, sacks are 6, Int's are 6 plus 3.5 and then return yards lol.

back in week 7 of 2006 Rhonde Barber posted 7solos, 2PD,2INT which he both returned for TD's(37,66), and he forced a fumble which Brooks picked up and ran in for a TD

No big plays, but back in 2007, David Harris had 20 solos and 4 assists in week 9...

But nothing beats Harrison's week 9 outburst IMO :goodposting:

Didn't Winfield have a crazy game this season at some point... I think he went for like 10 solos, 2 forced fumbles, 1 Fumble Recovery, 3 PD's anda TD.

I have lost a few times due to being in the wrong place at the wrong time when these things happened. For example Ronde Barber and Vrabel.

Except Willis. Paybacks a mutha.

The game that Shepperd had came early in the season IIRC and he was still a free agent in one of my leagues. Took until like midseason for the rest of the DBs to catch up with him.

Recall that Harrison game very well as I was up against him and it pretty much single handedly dashed my playoff hopes that year.

I had Ray Lewis in a dynasty league from '99-'05 and he had some crazy games for me as well.

Monday night vs. The Broncos in '02 he has 12 solos, 7 assists, 1 int, 3 pd

in '03 vs. the Niners: 14 solo, 4 assists, ff, int, td, 2 pd.

I also had him in '07 when the played the Browns in Baltimore he has 12 solo, 4 assists, 1 fr, 2 pd, int, td

It seemed as if every week from '99-'04 Lewis gave me 10 total tackles along with a healthy mix of big plays.
