I just bought the rotowire one just to look at on occasion. I normally dont buy fantasy magazines but I decided to this year for some reason. I am still gonna make my lists and keep looking at different sites periodically but what fantasy magazines do u all feel are the best.

Of the big ones you'll find everywhere....(FBGs never came to the books store around me) I like Fantasy Index even though they really "F" d up with the T.Bell cover.

I like Index for the simple nostalgia factor and the fact that most of the articles appear to have been written by guys that took at least one writing class at some point in their life.

so I guess you never visit my site :bag:

Hard to beat FBG for print version. I've said it, continue to say, and it will say it again --- Tiki Barber on the front cover last year was awesome. Nobody really had big hopes for Tiki, but FBG did and they were right. I have to admit, even I was suspect, but turned out correct and I give major props for that. Great content again this year.

In addition to FBG, I get the online version at footballdocs.com. Updated every week to cover my bathroom reading with the most current stuff. Good stuff.

Last, the one at fanball is the most entertaining though IMO. Pretty funny stuff in there. Worth giving a look if money is an issue and worth buying if money is not an issue.

Magazines are worth little for the fact they are written and printed in May. They are nice if you want to have the stats handy or recap the offseason player movement. (The FBG magazine admits as much as every other page instructs you to visit the website). But the guy who only preps by Fantasy mags is the guy who says "Who?" when you draft Mike Bell.

That said here's 2 I always pick up (in addition to the FBG mag):

Fanball's mag is by far the best looking and the writing is pretty good (listing Burger King as a TE was classic). Not too much on fantasy strategy, but they have a lot of different guys writing for them and seeing how they differ in their rankings is interesting (WAY too many picutres of the writers, tho). Their mock draft (while again dated) is well documented with each owner explaining every pick. I bring the Fanball Mag to my draft and make it look like I'm drafting off one of their Cheat Sheets.

Fantasy Football Index or ("the Index") has been around forever - I think I've got one with Terry Allen on the cover somewhere. They put Tatum Bell on their cover last year and took a lot of heat for it (they also had Rod Smith ranked as a top 5 overal WR, IIR) - but you have to give them a bit of credit for being willing to take risks. I haven't purchased the 2006 issue yet, but I will just to add it to the collection.
