Two of the music drafts that were thoroughly enjoyable, and not just because of my domination of them, were....

the desert island album draft where we each drafted an album per year from 1955 - whatever the current year was

Music video draft.

I'll dig up the threads when I'm not on my phone

I'm proud of the drafts that I started and was involved in. But really the best ones were before my time and had nothing to do with me.

Agreed.

Here's the Mother of All Desert Island Album Drafts

And here's the Music Video Draft

Here's another of my favorite music drafts---the Original Desert Island Album Draft

And my favorite non-music draft that I participated in: the Seinfeld Draft

Greatest American Draft dragged me out of the Pool and into the FFA.
There was a similar Timdraft right before this one that was for all people worldwide -- Painters, Composers, Scientists/Inventors, Explorers, Political Figures, Villains, etc. I forget the exact name of the draft ... maybe simply "World's Greatest"?

Another fun Timdraft was his Rock & Roll Draft. Still remember debating with krista and others about the objective greatness of artists such as the Velvet Underground and Nick Drake.

Some people bag on 'em ... but I gained about ten IQ points from the various drafts in the FFA :D

Yea, really enjoyed them. I missed some of the early ones, but movies / rock and roll / pop culture, etc - they were fun.

My recollection (& I'm middle aged) is the order was Greatest American, World's Greatest and then Great(est) Works. I believe Tides of War threatened to seek an encounter with Mr. K4 (OH) over something in the middle draft, while GeneDoc (the wine guy) nearly had an aneueysm during the judging of the latter - something to do with me ranking The Scream too high and knocking down the specific Warhol work he chose.

IIRC we're still waiting on the judging of Documentary Films & maybe one other category for the Greatest Works Draft. That killed them for good.

I enjoyed them very much. Especially because timmay was always a good sport about treating him like a piñata.

Yep ... it was, indeed, the World's Greatest Draft.

And, I'm sure you will recall the Tim-run Basketball Draft of fall 2010 -- the one where Ferris Beuller and his buddies graciously judged everyone's squads, with you and I getting into the finals :hifive:

Wow - totally forgot about the NBA Draft. IIRC we did like 5 or 6 periods based off dominant periods....and then had a Pantheon Team of 8 or 9 players. Yeah, that was a tough one for me because I really don't follow the league anymore, surprised I won it since my new millenium team was horrible.

How about this classic moment:

Round One1. Mario Kart- Sun Tzu

FTR, the pre-timschochet drafts (Cereal, Deadly Animal, Russian Bride) were way more fun than anything I ever participated in. One of those three is the best ever.

The timmay drafts were fun in a different way, a bit too serious, a bit too competitive, but people (drafters & judges) really poured themselves into them. It was pretty intense, glad I took part in many of them.

#### it, let's just do them again. It's been several years. Why not start with the Great American draft? Just do it from scratch? In the words of Donald Trump, let's make America great again!

I'm down.

Still think your idea of Athletes by State/Region draft was a great idea.

Since I got beat by Fennis last time I plan on asking him to partner up in the reboot.

[shhh....don't tell him]
