Best League Manager Website? (1 Viewer)

Our league has been using Fanball.com for the last couple of years (we used to use AOL's free site which was Fanball-based before that.)

I've grown tired of managing the league using that site... it's very flexable, but the servers seem to go down every other Sunday, and good luck getting through a whole draft without some problem with their online draft manager.

I'd like to know what sites people here recommend... I've looked at some of the top one's already... ESPN doesn't support a Free Agent Auction system, Yahoo doesn't support Team QB... both of which are show stoppers for our league. CBSSportsline looks like a winner, but it's a bit pricey (2x the cost of Fanball). I'm willing to shell out a little extra cash if nothing else can equal CBS, but wanted to get some more opinions before doing so.

Thanks!

Maybe we could pin this and reduce the amount of therads we get asking this same question over and over? Perhaps even add more to this thread as you find them. Talk about a subject that's been talked to death.

Good stuff in here. Saves me having to start a thread on the matter.

A lot of those links are from a couple years back, and a lot has changed in that time.

Pros/cons of ESPN vs. Yahoo? Looking for a free one and those appear to be the two best options.

I don't know if it is on above list, but there is a recent thread called, I think, "Best Free Site?" that should help.

A friend of mine put together a site at footballswami.com. We've had really good luck with the site over the years and it's very economical. You can set it up anyway you want really, talk smack as much as you want, and post pics with articles etc. One of the coolest parts about it is that it has a ledger so you can bet with your friends throughout the season and you can true up at the end. He has it setup so you can view as a guest I believe...

Has anyone used Sportsline this year for auction draft format? My commish claims they have opened it up for football (apparently they've been doing it for baseball for a bit).

I'm just trying to find info on how it works and I can't find anything useful from their site, google or from searching through threads here.

How many players get put up at once?

How much time per player?

How are the players suggested to go up for auction?

Is it any good, any problems with your draft using it, and how long does an auction draft take?
