I never fail to crank that song when it comes on. 

Boston’s first album is one of the best. You could put just about every song out here. “Rock and Roll Band” is probably my favorite. Growing up in Boston gave me an attachment to knowing the places they refer to in the song.

Another pure 70s favorite is Operator (That’s Not the Way It Feels) by Jim Croce

Count me among those who think Imagine has really dumb, plaintive lyrics in a hortatory call to idiocy.

I don't want to slag anybody selecting it, it's really just how I feel intellectually about the lyrics, never mind the self-seriousness with which Lennon delivers them from Mt. Yoko.
