Better strategy: Rodgers/Finley or Brees/Meachem? (1 Viewer)

Rodgers/Finley could be a beastly play. Brees/Meachem is safer with similar upside and cheaper in terms of the 2nd cog.

I actually have Brees and Meachem and I am very high on Meachem, but I think Finley is a safer bet. Meachem could be a top 10 WR or he could be a top 45. It's just not very clear yet what his role in that offense going forward will be. There is no question that Finley will be a featured target I don't think. The QBs are a wash so it really comes down to Finley and Meachem.

Easy choice. Give me the 2 Packers. Meachum disappeared once Lance Moore was healthy and I think he is one of the most overrated players out there. Not top 10 material and he wont get 9 TD's this year on that amount of catches. FInley is a stud in the making.

Finley will have to be drafted a few rounds earlier or will cost a few more $$$ in auction, but I think you guys are right.

i dont like to get too excited about young guys before theyve shined but finley really has the potential to be an above and beyond #1 TE for years and years and i think at worst youre looking at a top 5 TE.

Except you gotta give coach, team stability and OL factor to Brees, so it may not be as easy of a choice in that context.

However, the Packer combo could be absolutely explosive this year. I don't see any one of Brees' targets outside of Colston anywhere close. And he would actually cost quite a bit more than Finley without really justifying it in my eyes.

Tough choice as Rodgers will cost almost exactly as much as Brees but all other things equal you'd probably want Brees if that's the case. But Rodgers can also bring you Finley in the backpocket of your team with a mid-round lethal combo.
