(TheHuddle) The NFL Network reports preliminary tests done on Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger's (shoulder) injured shoulder reveal he has a bruised ac joint and is now expected to be day-to-day. More precautionary tests will be done Tuesday, Nov. 4, but it appears at this point that there is no ligament damage in the shoulder.
Analysis: The problem is the injury occurred to his throwing shoulder. He was apparently overheard on the sideline saying "it popped out" before he left shortly before halftime of Monday's game against Washington. Obviously he's fortunate there's no ligament damage, and he's unquestionably a tough guy, but you've got to think his chances of playing this week against the Colts are 50-50 at best.
(Rotoworld) ESPN.com reports that "a source" told John Clayton that Ben Roethlisberger (shoulder) "has a decent chance of being able to play Sunday."
Analysis: The Steelers are still waiting for the results of his MRI exam before announcing Roethlisberger's official status, but early indications are that he's avoided a serious injury.

Leftwich looked pretty sharp in relief
This always cracks me up. I happen to be an MRI tech, and when an ordering physician orders a STAT call report for one of his or her patients, it is our hospitals policy that the Radiologist calls that report to the ordering physician within 1 hour. The Steelers already know the results of Ben's MRI.

:( I've had a few MRIs and the basic results are known very quickly. Ive always thought that statement was odd.
