And isn't Faulk known for his rigorous offseason conditioning? Isn't he the one that was in those commercials where it showed him running on the beach with cinder blocks in his hands jumping over logs and such? The guy is a machine when it comes to keeping his body in shape.
Like the above poster said this is WAY off. Last year was the first year Faulk worked out at all during the offseason.

Read this at Mastermind:

Howard Balzer reports for USA Today there was a significant amount of over-reaction last week to reports that St. Louis Rams RB Marshall Faulk might retire this summer. Faulk, 31, has told people he has some concern whether his knee will be right and there are those inside the Rams who share the concern. But retirement is the absolute worst-case scenario. Most still believe Faulk will play this season, even if it is in a smaller role after the selection of RB Steven Jackson in the draft. The Rams know the history of how runners' productivity dramatically declines after they reach the age of 30. That's why they were intrigued with RB Maurice Clarett at the combine and might have picked RB Kevin Jones if they hadn't traded up for Jackson.
Sounds more and more like a RBBC. Rams and RBBC has got to be a oxymoron. Interesting read on the Jackson pick. What would of happened if Maurice was there? I would not have thought that to be a good fit. I would have thought Maurice would be a better fit in a Dallas type offense.

Update: Faulk did play in 2004.This has been confirmed from several sources....will give link in a bit.
