Seriously though - Tom Izzo HATES Michigan. He has made that clear. Why would I, therefore, ever root for MSU?And Ohio is ... well, Ohio. Clearly not going to root for them.And Tom Crean is an Izzo clone who just went ape-#### on a M assistant coach for no reason. Definitely rooting against him.And WI plays an awful, ugly, boring type of basketball that is an abomination. Not sure it's root against everyone but my team...just the rivals and the jack wagons like Crean...I think WK summed up nicely why some of us will be rooting against those specific teams. I'm not a big conference guy anyway, but while you don't understand rooting against conference foes, I don't understand rooting for conference foes. Was looking at VCU shirts to switch into for the Saturday games at Palace. Wear Spartans for MSU game (if they make it), then swap that out for VCU (if both VCU and Michigan play)

I think I'm good then. Only rooting against the likes of OSU, MSU, Indiana. While Indiana isn't a direct rival, Crean's a doosh and I hope he loses forever. The rest I couldn't care less about either way. If they win, fine...if not, that's fine too.Correct. I hope Wisconsin has a good tournament run ...let them unleash that D on someone else for a change! But my strong desire is for Hardaway to step up big time, take pressure off Burke, and give Michigan a final four appearance. Plan B is for an early exit, causing all the Wolverines to return next year.My son had played club volleyball for Illinois (no D-I due to Title IX). Different sport; different rivalries. The Big Ten schools were all close and friendly on the club circuit. But they hated most of the other Wisconsin schools (esp Oshkosh) and in general, it was everyone against the west coast schools who had dominated for years. Brady Hoke mockingly refers to "The Ohio State University" as just Ohio to get under their skin. ETA....It will be more effective though when he is actually able to beat them.
