Very, very deep. His upside is like that of a Davone Bess, could be a WR3 in PPR but won't be a difference maker. If he goes to a team with an elite passing offense (a la Austin Collie) he becomes a more interesting guy to target.I'm still very skeptical about him because of his lack of production in school, he seemed to step up when the pressure was off but when the pressure was on he was nowhere to be found more often than not.Cecil Lammey said:Sounds like a great guy & teammate. not a doubt in the world this nickname is already written down in a berman notebook somewhere..which is why i will be watching the NFL Network's coverage. berman is just brutal.

Overlooked?.... clearly an understatement.

I think most would immediately write off his chances based on landing w/ Indy since their depth chart is pretty deep already at the position (9Wrs right now).... but you've gotta consider that he selected Indy. He had calls from other teams out there, I'm sure. He seems to have the work ethic and dedication to secure himself a roster spot.

When Pierre is ready the Colts will put him out wide right in three receiver sets.
Maybe there is enough time for White to supplant Gonzalez as the #4, while he recovers, again.
If any one of Wayne/Collie/Garcon misses any time, than White has some potential, nothing substantial, but suffices as a fill-in. He already proved it last Sunday by allowing Peyton to gain trust in him.

Why do you think he will be "nothing substantial" ? Is this based on opportunity ? I think he definitely has the talent to be a difference maker.

Just noticed that Collie was limited in practice and Garcon missed another practice Thursday.
I'm guessing Collie will play Sunday. But if he doesn't, how valuable would BW be against the Jags' defense if he only has to compete with Wayne and Clark (and the RBs) for targets?

In PPR, in this scenario, I'm thinking BW might be a one-week super sleeper.But it's probably a moot point because Collie's ailment probably isn't serious.

I think opportunity has a lot to do with it because there just isn't any more room for a difference-maker on the Colts roster. Blair has upside, but his skill is not on the same level as Collie. Remember Austin led the nation in receiving yardage at BYU. Just don't expect 150+ yds. and multiple td's out of Blair. If he plays I suspect 50 yds and an occasional td might be his ceiling.Also. The Colts signed Chris Brooks to their practice squad. If Garcon misses again, there is a good chance this kid would fill-in as the #4. Taj Smith is another player the Colts might consider if Garcon's injury lingers.Casting Couch said:

Anyone going with the Blair White Project this week?
They should really move some WRs and get some defensive help at safety so they're not so reliant upon Bob.
I don't see how this kid plays enough to warrant your attention in redraft and in dynasty it bugs me because the other WRs aren't exactly old.
With the awesome Dallas Clark (and their other TEs looking good in preseason), the Colts could trade four WRs and still be OK so whats the big deal with trading one WR?

I'd agree with you, but it seems the only WR's not dealing with some kind of injury are Wayne, Clark, and Blair White. Gonzo has his problems, Garcon has a hammy issue and probably won't play this week, and now Collie has shown up on the report with a heel problem.Bri said:

Picked him up because of bye weeks and injuries. With Garcon hurt he probably has some value, but I don't know long term.

He's a starting WR for the Colts this week @ JAX. Garcon and Gonzalez will not play. Not sure how you can say no short term value. Collie also has a heal injury he's dealing with and will be getting a lot of attention since he blew up last week. Wayne and Clark will also be drawing a lot of attention from the JAX secondary which means Blair White will be the open guy and that's where Manning always goes with the ball - the open guy.And long term, Garcon has a hammy and those can be tricky. He has also had his fair of drops so I wouldn't completely rule out the possibility of Blair White simply beating Garcon out for the job (injury aside). And if Blair White can impress enough to lock down the job, he could keep it away from Gonzalez too (and he'll have plenty of time to show his stuff b/c Gonzo will be out another few weeks at least).It's obviously a long shot for the LONG TERM but I think he's worth a roster spot. When you're talking about a WR who's one injury away from starting in Peyton Manning's offense, then you're talking value - short and long term.

Blair has talent. Now he has opportunity. That opportunity is magnified as he's on a high-powered offense with Peyton. That's money right there.
All in all I think that we agree here - if you need a WR3 or flex this week, Blair White's not a bad option.
ETA: With a 4PM start I believe he is a good "Plan B" if you're sweating Andre Johnson.

Blair White was a very good speculative pick up last week when he was added and Garcon was OUT
He was picked up in a ton of leagues this week and will be in a lot of starting lineups

6 Targets and a TD last week. One of those targets could have been a second TD. People were sleeping on this guy after last week, I have a feeling they won't be after this week. Collie, Garcon and Gonzalez are banged up along with Brown and Addai. This is a good situation for White right now.
Does anyone know whether White will be starting tomorrow? How much PT do you think he gets?

Should be the same as lat week, if not more playing time for White. Garcon and Gonzo are still out. Collie has a heal injury and is listed as questionable so he could get less snaps. White could play as many snaps as a WR2 in that offense.
