Blair White - overlooked gem in the draft (1 Viewer)

Interesting note from The Huddle:

first-team Academic All-American with a 3.89 GPA in human biology
I guess he didn't have a problem learning the playbook...
Word has it that he won the job - and Peyton's confidence - b/c they never have to worry about Blair being in the wrong spot. He definitely knows all the assignments. And reliable hands to boot. And FWIW, he's listed at 6'2 while all the other Colts RBs are all just 6' or less.

I have Andre out, SJax out, and a three more out... Murphy was going to be my Flex, but he's questionable too... my only other option is Hightower. Should I drop Murphy for this guy this week?

6 Targets and a TD last week. One of those targets could have been a second TD. People were sleeping on this guy after last week, I have a feeling they won't be after this week. Collie, Garcon and Gonzalez are banged up along with Brown and Addai. This is a good situation for White right now.
Does anyone know whether White will be starting tomorrow? How much PT do you think he gets?
Should be the same as lat week, if not more playing time for White. Garcon and Gonzo are still out. Collie has a heal injury and is listed as questionable so he could get less snaps. White could play as many snaps as a WR2 in that offense.
That shouldn't limit him at all... in fact it sounds like he's 100%! :wall:

Idk about dropping Murphy for White.

If it was only a matter or exchanging a starting WR from OAK to IND, then I'd be on board b/c I like White enough to want the upgrade to Manning. But the problem is White could give back the job to Garcon.

White would have to play lights out to keep Garcon and Gonzalez on the bench for the rest of the year.

Just saw a blurb on CBS that stated Collie missed practice today with a hamstring issue, even with Garcon coming back this week this could bump White up in the rankings this week.

Blair White has a clearly defined roll this week. He will be the slot receiver. Wayne and Garcon will be out wide. Gonzalez is on IR and Collie is out. Blair has #3 duties all to himself. Tamme appears to be banged up and Caldwell expressed concern, but I think that’s coach speak, and that Tamme will play. Regardless, White will get looks. he went 3 for 42 after Collie was knocked out of the game last week, I believe on 5 targets. What are the expectations this week at home against a beatable Bengals defense with a mediocre secondary and a weak pass rush? He could be good for 5-64-1 this weekend.

Any starting WR in QB has the potential for a big game. Peyton is playing very good footall again this season. I would start the Indy WRs with confidence.

I thought they looked pretty good on Monday. Then again, their season is pretty much over now so who knows what kind of effort they bring.
