Blindspot - New Series on NBC (1 Viewer)

Johnny Rock

Footballguy
DVRing this series. Blindspot started tonight at 9 pm Central.

She's piecing together her past, one tattoo at a time.

It's like The Blacklist + Memento + The Bourne Identity. I watched it but I'm only giving it one more week before bailing.

Agree it was bad.

Apparently the FBI doesn't have anyone that can speak Chinese, and when a credible threat is detected on the Statue of Liberty they send in three agents and some woman they found in a duffle bag in Times Square 2 days prior.

True. But take away the unrealistic stuff and it's awesome!A unique premise at least.

I thought it was an interesting start. And if we start destroying TV shows for plot holes may as well turn it off.

They also apparently didn't put any guards on the Chinese national that just tried to blow up the Statue of Liberty.

The agent removing C4 from the bomb and chucking the rest of it down the subway tunnel was ridiculous as well.

I can usually suspend my disbelief and get over some plot holes, but it was just too much for me.

How was Bonnie Rotten in it?
:lmao: That's first thing that peaked my interest in this show. Then I found out the character is played by Jaimie Alexander, Lady Sif makes me stiff. I will give the pilot a shot, but all new TV shows this season are getting the quick hook (e.g. Fear the Walking Dead or is that Fear the Packing Stiffs).

And: "You wait alone in the hall with the Chinese guy we just met while we scope out another room."

She's gorgeous. Still going to be hard to watch much more of that.

Is the premise that the tattoos are a treasure map?

If so, I can guess where the booty is....

dang. was coming in here to post this...

So the Blacklist is Prison-Break-Tattooed on a female Jason Bourne.
I didn't think she came off like Bourne. She actually got beat up pretty good though she won in the end. I thought that fight was actually fairly realistic.

Hearing that the Pilot got pretty good ratings. Just finished it last night - will give it a few more episodes to see if it can hook me in.

lolz

Man you guys are pretty harsh. I thought it was pretty good.

I do agree on some of the "eye roll" moments but it's still entertaining. Had sort of a 24/Jack Bauer feel where he runs all over town in a matter of seconds.

Kinda funny both of the strike back guys got network shows. Too bad neither holds a candle to Strikeback.

That said, Jaime Alexander /swoon.

Every time they tell her to wait in the hall, that ends up being the place the fight happens. Maybe send her in first next time FBI guy?

And then when he does leave her in the car ...

I also like the thought of the drone pilot shift change. I picture them all passing by the time clock, lunch buckets in hand.

Quite enjoying this so far. Jaimie is gorgeous and a very appealing protagonist. I dig the lead guy; I had not seen him before. The pilot had a lot to establish in a short period of time, but I thought E2 did a good job with the team exploring the first real threat. Now if they avoid the mistake made by The Blacklist (where we STILL don't know the connection between Red and Liz - enough already!) and give us some world-building advancement, I think this has the potential to be quite good.

I just pretend that "Mayfair" is Viv from Without a Trace working for the same agency and in the same building as before, just with a name change.

I'm just waiting for them to explain the tattoos on her body. The first clue unlocks the second, and I would guess it's going to progress like that from there, meaning the clues have a sequence that happens to be based on how they're going down in the world. So either there's a mastermind out there who just really enjoys playing games and has a master crime schedule, or the answer is that she tattooed herself and then time-traveled back to when they found her in Times Square, having wiped her mind because no one should know too much about their own future....

The pilot showed the first event (Chinese bombmaker) happened because someone blackmailed the guy into doing it with threats to his sister, then killed him when the bomber didn't die as he was supposed to.

So it seems like there is a mastermind who is instigating events rather than some kind of sci-fi time travel explanation.

Is anybody still watching this show? I keep asking myself after each episode, "why the hell am I still watching this shyte?"
I watch it.  I think it's fun, though you have to take it at face value and not think about it too much.

I'm a fan of this and other Greg Berlanti shows (Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, & Supergirl).

I know they have been directed to some tattoo's, but there have been enough found and they always lead to an active crime that is underway even though there are hundreds of clue's on her body. Still, I'm few episodes behind, it's an action show so the plot is generally going to be a bit ridiculous, and it doesn't fail in that regard.

A few of the tattoos have been about time-sensitive plots, and those are the ones Jane's old team usually push them into. I think most of those were to establish credibility so the FBI would trust that the information from the tattoos is significant. Others point to on-going plots, so whenever the FBI figures them out, there's something going on.
