Bobby Rainey - Is it just me? (1 Viewer)

In PPR, SF is the 14th ranked defense against running backs this year fantasy wise, which does to me mean middle of the pack. However, over the last three weeks they have only given up 37 points to opposing RBs, lowest in the league. TB has been playing well lately, but I think this is a very tough matchup. I'm still debating starting him just because of the workload but I don't have other great options either (need two from P. Thomas, R. Matthews, Woodhead, Ivory and Rainey).
I thomas ranked over rainey on a few sites and I dont see it. With sproles back he just is not getting the carries. I would prob play mathews and rainey from that group
Dude, you are wearing beer goggles here - I get it, he's your only date so you gotta like him, I'm unfortunately almost in the same boat, but you need to ease back the expectations... In my PPR league, I'll be a pig in #### if he gets me 8-10
After further consideration I think I am going thomas over rainey. Good luck to those who start rainey. I still think hes a pretty decent start. Just think thomas may get some easier yards and rec vs stl
There is no way i could start thomas over rainey.

For full disclosure I am a rainey owner but he will be on my bench this week in favor of vereen and forte.

Rotoworld:

Bucs re-signed RB Bobby Rainey to a two-year contract through the 2015 season.
Rainey was scheduled to be an exclusive rights free agent this offseason, so the Bucs are basically buying out that year and his restricted free agent season. He'll be an unrestricted free agent in 2016. Rainey likely isn't getting much more than the three- and four-year veteran's base salary minimums. After rushing for 566 yards and five scores last season, he'll compete for No. 2 duties.

He might be a thing again with Vereen's season-ending injury... I don't think Darkwa is taking on the passing down work.
