Why can't pictures be turned on but with the option to have them turned off added to everyone's profile options?  People who don't like them can have them turned off?  It's a groundbreaking feature of most board software that came out around 2006 or so.

People in charge don't want pics here. Many/most users are fine with that. Plenty of other boards out there that allow images.

Well consider this. It may not be popular because people sometimes complain about nested quotes, but IMO losing quoting will kill longer conversations and decrease the value of discussions in The Shark Pool. 

I take it the search function is getting fixed too because that is another great thing about TSP vs other sites, the continuity of discussions under one thread title over time.

Functionality controls content, remember that, don't make these changes lightly.

Who are you talking to? I can't seem to follow this conversation. It would certainly be helpful to know who someone is replying to in a message board, you know, by maybe showing more than one message at a time.

I get the need to cut down on number of nested quotes.  But cutting it at 1 is dumb.

Another board I'm on just had the same upgrade and people complained about this for about a week, and since then no one really mentions it anymore.  White is white...go look at Reddit, Wikipedia, or any number of sites and it's the same normal white.  On the other board, they added some contrast to the borders, which looked better, but it seems like this mostly just comes from not being used to the changes and the power of suggestion.

Can always reduce your brightness.

Wasn't working before.  Works now. If this was the old board I wouldn't have seen your post for hours.

OK, this is dumb... if someone replies in a thread while you're typing your own reply, once you submit your reply the page will not show the interim replies by other posters. You have to do a full refresh to see the new content.

Noticed this too. 

Also im on an iPad and if you quote someone then want to delete you have to kill the entire browser and reload to get rid of it.

Not caring for this so far.  Main issues:

1. No post count.
   
2. 25 post count per page.
   
3. WHITE!!!
   
4. No customization, even if Maurile thinks it exists.
   
5. Circular Avatars?  What's next, Disco?
   
6. Broke stuff is still broke, with a whole new list.
   

Maybe this stuff is change-able in settings, but for now this is not an improvement.
