BOSTON sports - How did we ever get so (1 Viewer)

when you lose 15 in a row to one team, you're damn right that was a big win for our Bills.like I said, it was a hell of a run.Pegula about to stomp out the Bruins as well.
:lmao:I'll keep celebrating the Bruins' Cup. You keep celebrating your offseason championship, Heat.

Don't worry Pats will rack up a lot of wins only to choke and get beat like they always do in the playoffs at home like they did vs Jets and Ravens
Like they "always" do? That's quite a trick, considering they've participated in 4 of the past 10 Super Bowls, having won 3 of them. More Belicheating?

Celtics are old

Sox are back to the old Sox

Pats can't play D

Nobody cares about hockey

it was a good run

FYI: In the USA nobody really cares about hockey. As long as the Pats, Celts and Sox choke I'm more than happy for you guys to win the cup.

Guess you didn't follow them the last few times they got into the postseason. You guys still living in the year of their last SB? Jets and Ravens took you guys out to the shed

Today was the culmination of one of the greatest meltdowns in sports in the past couple decades.

This is what it sounds like when doves cry!
:lmao:A week from today, our Stanley Cup Champion Boston Bruins drop the puck. Meanwhile, our football team still has the best quarterback and the best coach in the league, and we've got as good a shot as anyone at winning yet another Super Bowl. I think we'll get over it. That's one of the perks of being a part of the most dominating sports city in the country - when one team fails, we just turn the page and move onto the next elite team. :banned:
Neato. This is why you guys are nauseating. :hophead:

And no SB wins in the past 6 seasons. What have you done for me lately?

If a single town other than mine had been so dominant in every major sport for the last decad, and my favorite teams had been mediocre or maybe won a title or two in that span, I would probably feel the same way you guys do. Hate on, fans of lesser teams. I give you full permission.

Well, to be truthful, all the credit goes to the awesome fans in the Boston area. They've willed those teams to victory and glory.

The only way this could have been better is if Baltimore would have beaten them at Fenway. That would have been more awesomer.

:simmons:Unless you're from Boston, you can't understand the complexity, pain and devotion of Boston fans. They're tortured but heroic, envied by all yet often misunderstood. They carry their teams to victory in a way other fans simply can't.

Orioles fans- and I'm guessing Jays fans and Rays fans and to a lesser extent fans of every other AL team- have to live with Yankees fans and Red Sox fans taking over their park to cheer on the visiting team and talk #### many times every single season. They deserved this.

I see your point. I hope there were tons of O's fans in the stands. But, imagine, for a moment, that the air was sucked out of ~50k fans at Fenway when that scoring run was scored. However, it would not have been a walk-off single and the Sox would have had 3 more outs. So, maybe you're right. Better to do it in Baltimore.

Local media called it a "playoff atmosphere" last night at the Yard. Standing, screaming ovation when the winning run was scored. People around here really hate Boston fans.

Certainly there were fewer people still there after the rain delay, but there was still a decent crowd supporting both teams there after midnight. Of course I watched the Os feed of the game so they were obviously finding the most die-hard of die-hard Os fans to show in and out of breaks.Honestly, even if there was one Oriole fan there that's enough to make me happy. There are few things in sports fandom worse than hordes of visiting bandwagon fans taking away one of your favorite summer activities and turning it into three hours of annoying chants and pink hats and drunken idiots with barb wire arm tattoos and backwards caps talking #### about teams and players they know virtually nothing about.

I wish I owned a bar in Boston because after this Sunday when the Patriots lose to the Raiders there is going to be some heavy drinking going on.

Another AFC Championship and another trip to the Super Bowl. I thought some of you guys from lesser sports cities who wish they were Boston were saying that Boston's run was over? And it seems like just a few months ago, we were celebrating the Stanley Cup championship. Oh wait, that's because it was just a few months ago that we were celebrating the Stanley Cup. Remember that? But I guess it's been a little while, and Boston is pretty much due for another title at this point. Because that's what we do here: we win championship after championship after championship, all the time.

Anyone ever figure out how Boston and their fans do it? Their run is already (by far) the best of all time, and it just keeps on going. Haters gonna hate, but every last one of them feels the jealousy and the envy in their bones when they think about the sports mecca that is Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

I think about hating Boston fans for winning sports teams then I realize you're stuck in Boston and I'm living in Colorado.

Pray tell- how do the fans do it? And what exactly is it they're doing?I have some thoughts.

The only thing that is giving me comfort after the Cundiff shank is the fact that in two weeks I get to see Tom Brady cry after getting destroyed by the Giants.

I'm a Boston fan but glad I live in RI now as I would hate to be stuck in the middle of all the obnoxious idiots right now. The best thing the city has going for it is that the women are whores which is nice.

Are they having snowball fights in hell? I think this is the first time LHUCKS has ever been spot on about anything. The world might be coming to an end :scared:

If it had been anyone but the Giants, i would have been thrilled with yesterday's development. My first fall in Boston in 33 yrs treated me to the junk relevance of everything Patriot being celebrated by everyone down to weekend weathergirls weighing in & it was insufferable. Especially considering that the Boston i left only held onto the franchise because the Jints wouldnt let them move to New Haven & that Billy Sullivan arranged $6 mil in stadium financing in Foxboro to leverage Boston into building one but ended up having to raise Schaefer Stadium with that ridiculous amount (i worked 2 concerts there - there was not a finished room anywhere and the wiring was of the same quality as a tripledecker in Southie), i spent the entire playoff season wanting to hurl on every benighted celebration of Pat "legacy". Official Pats hater, now - unfortunately, the only team i hate more is da Jints (its in the blood).

Don't worry, pitchers and catchers report in about 10 days and the build up of Saux hype will begin.
