Boulware is a SS so he should put up better numbers right?? Archuletta is now the SS in Wash. Taylor is the FS.

Shoul I keep Boulware or pick up Sean Taylor ??

Sorry, I forgot the settings...

The settings are :

Tackle Solo (2)

Tackle Assist (1)

Sack (5)

Interception (3)

Fumble Force (2)

Fumble Recovery (1)

Touchdown (6)

Safety (2)

Pass Defended (1)

Block Kick (2)

Or should I pick up Mike Brown or Nick Collins ???

I'm not sold on Taylor for fantasy football. I think he is a great NFL safety, but due to his speed and range, he often is stuck playing the deep safety, which means less tackles. With the addition of the slower Archeluta, I figure even less "at the line" time for Taylor this coming year...

I haven't really tracked Boulware though... so can't compare him at the moment... but is Hamlin coming back this year?

Like WisWolvrns, I'm very high on FS Taylor as a football player, I think he will be inconsisitent in terms of fantasy production, but score fairly well overall. I do feel Taylor is primed to bust out.

He has alot of big play ability. Even though I'm a Taylor owner, I prefer IDP's who are more consisitent.

With Boulware, he really scored great at the close of the '04 season. Was expectings big thing from him last year and was disappointed. The Seattle D has improved, especially the LB's, Boulware's oportunities will be limited, so I'm not expecting too much from him, prolly pretty much what he did last year. I'm also a Boulware owner

Not positive, but beleive Hamlin is coming back.

I like Taylor over Boulware because of Taylor's big play ability. He will get PD's, INT, FF's, and very good chance for a TD or 2 . Has Ed Reed type FF potential.

Yes, Hamlin is back. In my mind it's obvious Taylor is the better football player. However, I feel the same as the previous posters, don't like Taylor a lot as a FF player.Given the defensive system Washington uses I agree with Rozelle that Taylor often gets stuck deep. Not often does he line up in run support.Considering all factors (character issues included) I probably still would keep Taylor since he has a shot at greatness, far from the possible success of Boulware. I must admit it's a close call though.

It is only preseason, but Taylor was around the LOS a lot in the preseason. That probably means absolutely nothing, though. I just found it interesting. In the 2nd and 3rd preseason games (when he actually played a significant amount of time) Taylor had 3-1 and 5-4 tackles. He also had a FF. Also, Taylor has played ST in the past. Not sure if Boulware does or not. So, if you get points for ST tackles, that's a plus.

Not sure how Taylor's big play ability will work out this year. For the most part, teams avoided him last year. Teams simply didn't throw his way. He just won't be tested a lot.

I am starting Taylor over Rodney Harrison. I want to see Harrison play a complete game on his reconstructed knee before I insert him into my starting lineup. My other DBs that I am starting are Ed Reed and Kerry Rhodes.

Does anybody else have any concern about Harrison?

I have the same concerns about Rodney. He is available on my WW. I will watch the first Pats game and see how he looks. Might pick him if he looks good.
