Found this blurb in the 10/13 issue of the Sporting News:
EDIT: FWIW, I don't see any evidence of this. In four (4) games this season, he's had a total of three (3) carries, and none of those has come in the red zone.
I hadn't heard this before, and I guess I'm just wondering if there's any truth to it. With Steve Smith back in the Panthers' line-up, I really like Foster for the balance of the year, but his upside would certainly be limited if Hoover is filling the role of Stephen Davis at the stripe.Thoughts?TD VULTURE: The team has been turning to FB Brad Hoover in goal-line situations. Hoover isn't a threat to break big runs, but--unlike DeShaun Foster and DeAngelo Williams--he's big enough to move the pile. Hoover doesn't have a touchdown yet, but that is likely to change.
