If you own Tom Brady, and are a contender, what are you doing to fill the spot this year?

I am, and will probably roll with a QB I don't like. Most owners I've contacted want way too much for a QB for me to pay for one year.

I have Cutler as my backup and T. Jackson as my #3, so I am happy with my guys and not making any moves. My only concern is that Cutler and Jackson have the same bye week, but I am not going to give up a good long term prospect for a bye week filler in a dynasty league. I will probably address it later in the season as the bye week approaches so I can better evaluate some of my deep bench players and see who might be available on the waiver wire.

I had Kurt Warner and J.T. O'Sullivan as backups, and I added Brian Griese from the waiver wire.

I made a play for Roethlisberger, using Brady as bait. But he ended up being traded to a different owner.

I don't really see a sensible trade matchup in my league. Jay Cutler is the only other QB that would make sense as he's riding the pine behind Tony Romo. But I'm sure his value is sky high right now, and I don't feel like parting with guys like Chris Johnson for him yet.

My best bet is to roll with Warner and hope he doesn't get injured . . . then we should all have Brady back in time for next season.

i have brady in 2 zealots

z11 i traded for favre . i traded alot for him, but my backups are huard/croyle and tarvarius . and every other posotion on my team is solid so all i need is a good qb for another probable title run .

z22 i have romo so not a huge deal .

the worst part is i had cassel for 2 years in both leagues . after watching pre-season i thought they would cut cassel and keep gitarez . so i stupidly cut cassel . ugh !

I have Brady in my dynasty, and don't intend on trading him.

With that said, i had Jeff Garcia as my backup and made immediate plans to get Griese, and Collins since they were both on my WW. I plan to role with the lack luster platoon until i can assess my other spots to see what i can afford to give for a better backup. I do plan on trading for a better backup at some point this season though.

A little off topic, but you dynasty guys should know that there is a chance that Brady does not come back. I have seen interviews where he's talked about how there is so much more to do in life than play football and some of the things he may get into (politics was one). If he doesn't feel right or can't play at the same level, he could just walk away. He's already won three titles, has the jet set super model lifestyle, and really does not have a whole lot left to prove.

I'm not saying that there's a great chance that that happens, only that there's a slight chance it could.

Traded Brady for Big Ben in dynasty league. Eli was/is my backup.

Think it was the right move. Brady could be 2 years out and Ben should remain a top 5 QB and is 5 years younger.

Guess I'll find out

Traded him in a Misfits and Outlaws league for Carson Palmer and Jerricho Cotchery.

Only had Delhomme as a backup and as the two time defending points champ, I wasn't about to let this season slip away.

A little off topic, but you dynasty guys should know that there is a chance that Brady does not come back. I have seen interviews where he's talked about how there is so much more to do in life than play football and some of the things he may get into (politics was one). If he doesn't feel right or can't play at the same level, he could just walk away. He's already won three titles, has the jet set super model lifestyle, and really does not have a whole lot left to prove.

I'm not saying that there's a great chance that that happens, only that there's a slight chance it could.

So I should cut him based on the extremely long odds that he decides to hang it up in the prime of his career just because he sounds like a mature, rational adult in interviews?So you're really hoping some of the Brady owners in your league read this and decide to put him back in the pool aren't you. Nice try.

The ironic thing about my QB situation is that my week 2 QB1 & QB2 (Cassell & Griese) were the backups to my week 1 QB1 & QB2 (Brady & Garcia). Talkin' about being snakebit!

Why on earth would I care what anyone else does in a league that I am not even in?All I'm saying is that I don't think that it's 100% a given that Brady will come back and that may be a consideration for some people in keeping him or trading him.
