Brady Quinn agrees (1 Viewer)

I'm usually the most pessimistic of Browns' fans but looking at their schedule, 8 out of the last 10 games are winnable. I didn't realize their schedule was so soft.

Thi is grat for the Brownies - let Quinn sit for 2 years to learn then deal the other QB for some help. Also that #1 pick they give up looks like a mid 1st rather than top 5 - that would make me feel better!

I haven't been hearing the Cowboy fans chiming in lately about their top 5 pick next year. Hmmmm.

It's amazing how much good pass protection can do for a team... Derek Anderson has been coached up and has stopped trying to force plays when they aren't there. He threw the ball away yesterday when he had to and looked absolutely great playing not only mistake free football, but executing Chud's aggressive game plan.

I know Adrian Peterson is awesome, but drafting Thomas at #3 is paying off too. If this defense can bend but not break, this team has the potential to be real good sooner rather than later.

Looks like Brady might get to sit the whole first year after all. I think it will end up paying big dividends for the team in the long run.

Next year they need to concentrate on defensive line.

If the Browns didn't draft Quinn, they never would have traded away Charlie Frye.

Trading away Frye opened the door for Anderson. If the Browns hadn't drafted Quinn, Anderson would always have Frye peering over his shoulder. He'd have split loyalties in the locker room and with some of the coaches. Quinn wasn't/isn't ready to take over and now Derek Anderson has stepped up big time. The Perfect situation opened up before him where:

- Charlie Frye gets traded away so he didn't have to deal with split loyalties and to be honest, DA's personality doesn't light up a room. He's a quiet, soft spoken guy. He's not a grab you by the collar type of guy but its obvious that he can play. So the front office removing Frye from the picture really opened a door for Anderson.

- Quinn isn't ready to take over so DA got Carte Blanche to start and to have a few rough patches wtihout the threat of being yanked.

- Rob Chudzinski's offense is brilliant. Movement to create mismatches and with DA as the trigger man, he gets the ball out quicker and allows Chud to run deeper routes which vertically stretches out the defense which allows for greater mismatches to be created. A PERFECT match for DA.

- Joe Thomas and the VAST improvement all along the offensive line. This cannot be understated. Joe Thomas was the PERFECT pick for the Browns. He has allowed KWII to go out instead of stay back to help chip the DE. With KWII moving around the line it allows Chud full range to create mismatches. The Browns offense has opened up big time and its a direct result of many things coming together but one of the biggest reasons is the VAST improvement on the offensive line.

- Braylon Edwards has stepped up to become a legit #1 WR. He is the 'MOSS FACTOR' on the Browns offense. Having both KWII and Braylon along with DA and the line in Chud's offense? Forgetaboutit.

- KWII, coming off the single season club reception record season and now being able to go on deeper routes has seen his average per catch DOUBLE this year over last year when Frye was using him as a security blanket.

Put it all together and Brady Quinn won't be starting this year and that is a GREAT THING for the Cleveland Browns. Oh and its possible that the Browns will be giving up a draft pick right around the 21st slot that they got last April so the Cowboys stand to lose more and more and more and more for every game the Browns win which makes me very happy. I'm also pleased as punch to have Quinn sitting and learning and for him to not earn start incentives and have that money to DA instead because, he's EARNED IT!
