Brady takes 49 of 50 votes in MVP voting (1 Viewer)

And yet Mike Vrabel was the Patriots MVP. :nerd:
"He's our MVP. I think we've known that for quite some time. I think his work ethic day in and day out [is most impressive]. We get to practice against him so I think that makes us better. I think it makes us a better defense. He puts a lot of time into it. It's important to him. Going out there every week and then trying to play his absolute best is a priority for him." - Mike Vrabel

Which voter voted for Favre? Do we know?
The article I read did not mention who it was, but I would be interested in knowing as well. I am biased and think he should have been the clear choice, but am surprised it was this one-sided, to be honest.

The one that got it right
:goodposting:
A vote is rarely ever "wrong". That guy had his opinion. The other 49 guys had theirs. And good for Brady. Not that it really matters much big picture, but its still well deserved.

I don't think Brady deserved it....

if it goes to a Patriot, it should have gone to Moss... take away Moss & Welker and Brady does exactly what he did last year and the Pats win 10 games, maybe 11...

However, I really think Favre should have gotten it... Take Favre off the Packers and they win 4 games tops... with him they won 13...

:lmao: How many games did Moss win last year without Brady? Also, why does Welker have to be removed along with Moss -- were they supposed to share the MVP?edit: While we're at it, ho wmany games did the Pack win last year with Favre? You might have a little better case if he didn't choke it up so bad against Dallas and Chicgo this year.

Interesting analysis... Not exactly an apples to apples, but interesting. If Brady can win 10 or 11 with barely rosterable WRs, I guess he really is the MVP. Thanks for proving out the point.

What do you think the Packers record would have been all year without Favre?

Based on statistics Brady deserved MVP and the guy who voted for Favre is a moron. However, Moss is the true MVP on that team and in the entire league......

That was just a correction, not an argument. I'll leave the internet arguing to you, since we already know who the MVP is.

oops...better go back and edit that other one......

Real hard to tell. Rodgers looked good in a half of play, but you can't say how that would translate. They're probably a 9 win playoff team if they get, say Rivers quality play out of the replacement. I'd wager that unless you replaced Brady with Manning, thats a 12 W team at best. Still real good, but not undefeated. Put Cassell back there and they are playing today, not waiting till next week.

To me the MVP is hard to call, because there often are guys that are move valuable to their team without having the best stats. But in this case, Brady is the undisputed leader on the team, had statistically one of the greatest years in the history of the NFL, and led his team to an undefeated season. I have a hard time finding any player that would be more valuable to their team than that.

Okie dokie. Just relax man....stop being so defensive. It's ok to be wrong every once in a while.....

I think Moss was the Mvp , but if he didn't get it then Brady defintely.Favre not a chance in hell. Take favre off the packers and they win more than 4 game, because they had one of the best defenses in the league this year.

I think Moss was the Mvp ,
Get in your time machine and nix that Moss trade and the Pats are golden. Hop back in, put Moss back and kill Brady's mom before he is born -- not so much. Put Welker on the Pats last year and they win the superbowl.
So maybe neither one deserves to get it since it should be obvious that they need (in terms of getting the MVP, not in terms of Tom/Pats needing Randy to get to playoffs) each other. Take Moss away and yes the PATS are going to be good but Tom Brady isn't going to put up MVP numbers and certainly not 50 TDs. Moss would not put up huge numbers except maybe if he did land in Green Bay since it was clear Favre wanted to toss him the ball. Moss has put up incredible numbers with multiple QBs and even though Brady has put up nice numbers but never spectacular.

Brady best not including this year vs this year

QB rating: 92.6 - 117.2

Comp %: 63.9 - 68.9

Yards: 4110 - 4806

TDs: 28 - 50

TD/INT diff: 14-42

Moss best not including this year vs this year

Rec: 111 - 98

Yards: 1632- 1493

TDs: 17 - 23

In your time machine to take away the Moss trade, what o you think Brady's numbers are? Are those numbers going to beat Favre for the MVP? Looking at past Brady years, no way he gets the MVP putting up his usual so if you think he has much better stats then I guess you are putting a lot into Stallworth and Welker when they have a lot less room to work in since no one is following Moss around.

Take out the Moss to Pats trade and it looked like it was a Moss to Packers trade. Moss with a different HoF QB, on a pass happy offense, and I bet you could have seen Moss with some terrific numbers there. Record breaking, probably not but with Moss on the packers, Favre is MVP right now. There wasn't another WR they would bring in that would have gotten Brady the MVP or the Pats a record breaking season. Would they have been 'golden'? Sure but not perfect and record breaking. I don't think they are even a #1 seed without Moss this year as the Colts would be.

Brady is the MVP with a HUGE assist from Moss, if you believe otherwise then name the WR that replaces Moss that the Pats could have had and could improve Brady's numbers so much over his nice numbers.

 x 100How many more record breaking offenses does Moss have to be the best player on to get some respect from a few around here?

Pats without Moss = Playoff team but no MVP season for BradyMoss without the Pats = possibly a great season with Favre and the Packers but doubtful he gets to 23 TDs.Moss and the Pats = 16-0, records going bye bye, Brady gets MVPYes, the Pats would be a playoff team, still most likely a bye team but the #1 seed would be no sure thing without Moss and Brady does NOT get the MVP this year. Moss wouldn't get his 23 TDs on another team this year. That means they needed each other. Clear enough for you?

Not sure, but Moss was also a part of one of the worst offenses ever ('06 Raiders). Tom Brady has never been part of an NFL offense that was even close to being that pathetic. Brady is significantly more valuable than Moss.

I could not disagree more. The Packers had no running game the first half of the season, and if you think Aaron Rodgers could have carried that team on his back, I have some beach front property in Tulsa that I would love to sell you.

who are you replacing him with?
His backup, Matt Cassel.
Haven't seen him play enough. I'm out.

That means they needed each other. Clear enough for you?
They needed each other for what --- most points in history? That is irrelevant to team success or MVP. I was saying the Pats were golden simply by subtracting Moss and putting him back on Oakland (where he didn't look like an MVP). If Moss gets to go to the Pack, then Brady should get Steve Smith to replace him. How do you think the Pats look after that?Chaaaaampionshiiiiiip.......!!

It was a rhetorical question, but that's ok.
