As they say To the victors goes the spoils. Brady not getting the award would have upset much precedent. He was the record setting signal caller on a notoriously good offense and his team went 16 and 0.That said his statistical excellence was not that far above Romo, Favre, Manning, and others. Many of those others battled through greater adversity to put up their numbers. Manning was without his top W.R. for most of the year. Romo was under a new system and without his #2 W.R. the entire year. Favre saw significant injuries to his #2 W.R., his #1 and #2 T.E. He saw both his tackles play hurt and injured. He had rotating guards all year due to injury. He saw injury and ineffective play remove their first two R.B.'s and he had to cover for a defense that was often down to its last D.B. and saw its defensive line rotation decimated by injury. I'm not saying Favre should get the award, nor Manning, nor Romo. If the top Q.B. is on the top offense of the top team I do believe it goes there. I just note that others had extraordinary seasons as well, and under more difficult circumstances than Brady had. Brady homers tell us we need to appreciate his greatness. Perhaps. Perhaps they could take a few minutes away from their attention to Brady and look at the other magnificent performances out there. If Alesandra Ambrosio is struting down one side of the street I'd gawk too. I would, however, turn away to watch the rest of the Victoria Secret models on the other side of the street.
