Brady v SD=Biggest Must Start of 2007 (1 Viewer)

Man, wish I had Tom Brady on my team. Pats are going to be on a mission to showcase what their offense can do "without cameras."

Combine that with the fact that NE can't stop LT to save their lives and this is going to be a scorefest.

46.5 seems like a safe bet on the over to me. Though I don't like wagering or condoning betting on O/U.

Though if you do bet them, my motto is always take the Over, bc once they hit it, it's time to pop open the champagne. 'Cause they ain't taking those points off the board. :hot:

Well, the Chargers did just hold their opponent to 3 points, while Tomlinson was held to 25 yards on 17 carries, while the Pats held their opponent to 57 yards rushing and 259 total yards while knocking out their QB.

Please dont tell me your the same guy who posted the thread about taking the Jets in Week 1 over the Pats. This is hardly going to the offensive game that people say its going to be. Both defenses are great.

Agreed. This will be a defensive battle.

I posted in someone else's thread about the Jets being easy money that I liked the Jets in that game getting the points (though I was far from calling them "easy money"). I chimed in my easy money pick was Pitt -4.5. That held up pretty well.If this is a defensive game, why does Vegas have it as the highest O/U on the board at 46.5? I don't claim to know everything, but when Vegas says a game is likely going to be the highest scoring game of the week, I listen.

Too funny, the Chargers defense is a tad better than the Jets. You better hope Merriman doesn't take Brady's knee out early and claim roid rage.

If his stat line is anything like in the playoffs, I'm not worried.PS I know lots of Chargers homers, even they admit their secondary stinks.

If the Pats can't stop LT, why wouldn't they grind the clock and keep Brady off the field, keeping their defense fresh? That would make it seem like a low scoring affair to me.

I sure wish I had your optimism--since I've got both Brady and LT on my squad. Historically they've had some good games but I'm expecting a defensive game here. Actually considered playing Roethlisberger instead, with his matchup against Buffalo--but damn it's hard not to roll the dice in the game of the week!

Biggest must start of 2007?? Roflz...The Chargers have been waiting for this game since January. If anyone is on a mission, it is them.

Based on what I have been watching, they are still waiting. Brady is eating them alive. As a Brady owner, I have been rooting for the Chargers to try and keep the game close so he will get some more stats, but I don't think that will be happening.
