Bragging, venting, crowing, grieving... (1 Viewer)

Brag: Roethlisberger and Gronk combine for 63.9 pts.

Vent: Ahmad Bradshaw, Alfred Morris, Reggie Bush, Roddy White, Jeremy Maclin, Hakeem Nicks, Greg Olsen, Vikings D, Greg Zuerlein combine for 52 pts...

I'm a Cowboys' fan. I'm probably going to lose to the Giants' fan in the office that started Hixon, Rueben Randle, Wilson, Andre Brown, Tynes, and the Giants D. FML.

Sat Richardson in what is going to prevent me from going 6-2 and well on my way to a 1st round bye. "Oh, he's banged up, going up against one of the best rush defences in the league and a risk to get pulled during the game" is what I kept hearing. Like a dummy, I fall for it and sub in Maclin. 22 point swing in the wrong direction. Ugh. To top it off, the only other time I've sat Richardson was his best game, would have won that game too had I not overthought.

Oh and Megatron... **** you!

Up against a guy who started Peterson Thursday, so I was down 21 points.

My RB's are Ridley and Dwyer, so I'm in a slight panic yesterday.

I pull off a trade getting H.Miller and AJ and I give up Mendenhall and A.Brown.

So now I can really pull off a trade with another owner to upgrade my RB's.

I let go of Gronkowski for McCoy.

You saw the London show he put on

I should have stayed with Gronk and Dwyer for 46 points but got Miller and McCoy for 27 :wall:

Oh bye the way the guy had Stafford go off today

I drafted a team with Philip Rivers, Calvin Johnson, Darren Sproles, Torrey Smith, Pierre Garcon, Jamaal Charles, and Vernon Davis. I can't believe how inconsistent and frustrating this group of players is. The most reliable player on my team is Doug Martin. I probably won't make the playoffs. Started out 4-0, now 4-4 and not even cracking 80 pts each week. At least 3 of the guys absolutely torpedo my team every week. Rivers, Ponder, and Rivers have combined for like 10 points the last 3 weeks at my QB position. I've gotten an average of 3.3 pts a week at the QB position. I must have started the worst QB in Fantasy 3 weeks in a row. Picked up Carson Palmer but he was on my bench, thanks to this site's rankings. It's maddening. Fantasy Football has stopped being fun at this point.

dropped matt bryant due to hurricane concerns, picked up tynes, but then dropped him for prater. yes, kickers matter, i will now lose unless prater kicks 4 fg.

through 15 pages, that's the roughest (and funniest) thing i've read. my recommendation: order a pitcher of beer every 15 minutes until someone passes out...then order one every 10 :banned:

A garbage-time catch by Lance Moore is gonna cost me the win, unless I get lucky on stat corrections. Of course, I wouldn't have to sweat it out had Eli showed up

Traded Jimmy Graham for Rob Gronkowski 2 weeks ago when the Graham ankle injury buzz got strong.

Played the now Graham owner, who had to play Fasano this afternoon (I had David Thomas rostered) and handily whooped his ###, largely thanks to Gronkowski's 2nd monster game in a row.

Good times.

Starting next week I am picking my starting lineup at random. Matchups and most importantly, TALENT don't mean ####. I will inevitably start the wrong combination of players. Started this season 4-1...going to be 4-4 after this week, and next week I'll lose for sure to the top team in our league.
I'm with you - I think throwing a dart would be better. For example, I have a non-ppr team of RGIII, Vick, Charles, Mathews, Bush, SJax, Jennings, Megatron, Nicks, Bryant, Moore, Graham, Rudy, Walsh, Zuerlein, Buffalo, and Pittsburgh that just fell to 1-7 with a whopping 44 points. A lineup of all of my bench (Vick, Bush, Jennings, Bryant, Moore, Graham) crushed my starting lineup.

In my main redraft, I started season 0-5. I've ripped off 3 straight wins, and this week just put the highest score in league's 4 year history (Stafford, Martin, Witten, etc). I'm now 2 games out of a playoff spot with 5 left to play. I have the easiest schedule left.

In my main dynasty, I'm 5-3 with a 3 game lead for playoff spot. Loving both

In my only "big" money league, the average pts per week = 81.6. My opponents average pts per week = 97.1. In a 12 team league, 97 points has only been eclipsed 15 times in 7 weeks. My total pts against is 680. The next closest is 603. Regardless, my team is still pretty bad.
This week, my opponent scored 96 pts, which was the 2nd highest pt total for the week. Hey, I can make a prediction for next week....make sure to start Flacco and look for megatron to make a huge rebound. I can guarantee it right now.

I don't ever really post in this thread, but after last night's Saint's game ending, I figured I might as well

3 leagues with players going last night.

1 league I'm winning by ~16 pts going into the last couple minutes of the game. He has Brees and Graham

1 league I'm winning by ~9 pts going into the last couple minutes of the game. He has Brees going.

1 league I'm losing by ~ 12 pts going into the last couple minutes of the game. I have Brees and Lance Moore going.

After the last TD to Graham, here's how it ended

I lost the 1st one by 0.55 pts.

I lost the 2nd one by 0.2 pts

I lost the 3rd one by 1.8 pts.

They did just enough to screw me in both leagues I was ahead in but not quite enough to get me the win in the other. To add insult, I was the 2nd highest scoring team in the league for the 1st one.

:wall:

1-7. 1-7. Do you know how absurd that is? In 19 years I average just under 10 wins per year. One year I went 4-9 where I had the 3rd highest scoring team....but this year 1-7 with the fewest points scored...and to make matters worse, in the 12 team league I have given up the 3rd fewest points but am still 1-7. Holy crap has this year been (and continues to be) AWFUL.

Post your team - curious if is similar to my 1-7 and 2-6 teams. It has been a really bad year for me too.

Vick, Sproles, Matthews (Murray hurt), Gordon, Gates. Kerley (Jimmy Graham on the bench thought hurt, Daniels, Roberts, and a few other scrub wr), Henery (Zeurlein), whole lot of crap IDP players except Harper and Laurinaitas.

Won in one league by 0.25. Won in another by 0.02! :excited:

I never post in here but I'm so thrilled with my magic football team I couldn't help it.

In week 7 I was the highest-scoring team in the league.

I benched or outright released 7 of the 9 guys that got me there. I only kept 2 guys in the starting lineup both weeks (Chris Johnson and Miles Austin).

In week 8 I was again the highest scoring team in the league. Crazy.

I honestly think this is only my third post in this thread but the following is a comical breakdown of the QBs I've faced through the first 8 weeks. 1 pt per 25 yds and 4 pts per passing TD.Week 1--Ryan 31 ptsWeek 2-- RG3 31 ptsWeek 3 -- Schaub 26 ptsWeek 4 -- Brees 31 ptsWeek 5 -- Luck 29 ptsWeek 6 -- Rodgers 38 ptsWeek 7 -- Freeman 31 pts lolWeek 8 -- Stafford 32 ptsIn case anyone is considering benching Flacco, I play him this week.

Currently the league high score through Week 8. But I'm 3 and freaking 5, in 8th place

In all 3 wins, I was the weekly high score, and never won by more than 10 pts. In all 5 losses, I was either 2nd, 3rd, or 4th highest score.

2nd place guy in my league hasn't been in the top half of scorers for a single week this year, and he's 6-2.

I've forgotten what it looks like to watch your opponent put up a stinker...

After MNF had a close win... ahead by 2.01 points. Checked the final results email today after NFL stat changes, and opponent picked up another 4 points to beat me. Ouch.

Not that I'm surprised but my opponent has SD defense. Down 26-0 already. I'm done with this BS. It's all luck and mine is ridiculously bad.

Put in Titus Young for James Jones since Jordy was supposedly good to go - and McGahee for Leshoure since I figured Stafford would be passing all day. nice 35 points on my bench vs. 4 in my lineup :wall:

going against bears def in my league too. nuff said :hot: :hot: :hot:

Had SD defense score 25 and thought I was way ahead. That imploded in the first quarter.

Now I'm down 12 points on defense alone.

Oh by the way, he also has Rogers with 24 points inthe first half :hot:
