Bragging, venting, crowing, grieving... (2 Viewers)

3rd year in a row of missing the playoffs.

3 years ago I was 3rd in scoring and missed the playoffs by one game. Most points scored against.

Last year missed the playoffs by one game. Most points scored against but admittedly my team wasn't that good.

This year lost 8 players to injury by the end of week one. Currently most points scored against.

I think I'm done. It's just not that fun when yahoo projects you to go 12-1 or 13-0 and your team just gets crushed by injuries year after year. Plus seems like everybody has one of their best weeks of the year against me.

Lots of work and then it just turns into a disaster.
i'm having one of those years. Went 5-0, but that 5th game was brutal for injury. At this point I've got my first 6 picks hurt. Not so hurt that I can drop them for healthy bodies, but hurt enough that they aren't playing.

I got very lucky now at 5-3 that my entire division has also lost 2 straight games, keeping me in 1st place, but luck can only hold out for so long. If I don't start getting bodies back in my active lineup this season is going to be a painful wash since it started so good.

Actually, technically, Zeke isn't hurt, but the Cowboys implosion has had a same effect.

Just lost Kittle for the season now. Lolol

Yahoo predicted I would go 37-2 in the last 2 years and this year.

I'm currently 16-18 with 5 games left in this season lololol.

Way to much luck in this game to take it seriously. You're just wasting your time if you do.

I scored 39 points with 10 players this week. Guy on the other team could have just started DK metcalf and would have been ok. He'd still out score me by 11.

Started out the year scoring at a historic pace in our dynasty league through the first 4 games, averaging like 50 pts per game more than the next closest team. 3-1 record during that stretch.

Now I've gone 1-3 over the past 4 weeks and have lost Prescott and Kittle. Mixon and Godwin have had their issues as well. I've got crap at QB now but I hate trading for one in a 1 QB league. Might need to get a veteran for a 2nd Rd pick or something at this point to keep me afloat.

Top of the world one minute, bottom of the sea the next. I'll still be competitive but it looked like I could go ahead and etch my name on the trophy this year after my hot start.

Just lost to the worst team in the league because I chose my flex wrong. All week I swapped guys in and out like DeeJay Dallas, Mooney, Hardman, and Jared Cook, only to end up going with Mims at the last second.

I lost by 5 points and every single one of the other options would have won me my week.

I'm now 2-6 with top-3 points scored on the season.

It's been I think my most unlucky year by far.

Now I have CMC coming back and I think I'm all out of hope for making the playoffs.

We have 12 teams and 6 make it, so I guess I could possibly edge-in my winning every game left, but CMC has a bye Week 13 and so does Godwin/Antonio Brown so I don't see myself winning that week.

This just sucks. In such a ####ty year in real life, I really wanted to at least be able to have some hope and some fun in a fantasy world.

So for Thursday Night Football, we're looking at Green Bay without Jamaal Williams or AJ Dillon and possibly Aaron Jones as well vs San Francisco without Kittle, Garoppolo, Mostert, Wilson, Coleman or Deebo.

Oof

Minor irritation - I picked up Tyler Bass last week and started him over Mason Crosby due to his injury status.  I kept both, and then forgot to swap Crosby back into my lineup for Thursday night.  The points are NBD, but now I have to carry both kickers through the weekend instead of freeing up a roster spot.

Opponent in superflex with Watson, Kyler, Fuller, Adams, Kelce and a few other guys that don’t really matter after that. 177 and counting.

The classic rant. About to have a 4-5 record, heading for probably 6th place, but leading the league in total points by over 80. In every one of my 5 losses I’m the second highest scorer.

Lost this week by less than 3 pts.
James Robinson finishes with 99 rush yards.  1 more freakin yard and a 5 pt bonus would have given me the win.
Herbert throws a TD at the end of regulation that would have won it for me but it gets overturned.
If Brady or Corey Davis do anything at all I win.
A different schedule and I’m undefeated and steamrolling the league. Managed to avoid any big season ending injuries so far, but the schedule is killing me. GAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH

Have Brees and Brady. Play Brady against 29th ranked pass defense with all his weapons. He has Succop. Brady scores 2 vs Brees 30 and Succop’s meaningless FG down 38-0 beats me. Hate this game sometimes.

Needed 5 from Brady to beat the top team in the league. Didn't help that my RBs were Dobbins, Montgomery and Jackson(6 points total)

To top it off,Dobbins may be my only RB that plays week 10 of the 7 on my roster :(

Still undefeated with most points scored

My squad

K. Murray

Hopkins, Allen, maclaurin, boyd

Cook, sanders, Henderson, lindsay, mattison, moss

Goedart, gronk

Prater

I've never posted in this topic, probably have never read it.  But I'm posting now.

0-9 rebuilding dynasty team.  In 28 years of this league, no team has ever gone winless.  I'm 0-9 despite a nice core of Swift, Ekeler, CeeDee, AJ Brown, Diontae J, Hardman, Slayton, Goedert.  But trying to avoid going 0-14....the story begins sometime on Wednesday...

  1. Offer another team in contention Duke Johnson for a 3rd round pick on Wednesday.  No response by Thursday kickoff, so bench Hines for Duke - figuring I'd rather have the guy whose probably going to get 15+ touches.
  2. My AJ Brown drops an 80 yard TD, ends up with 1 catch.
  3. Meanwhile, Hines is exploding on my bench.
  4. Next morning, he finally sees the Duke offer and accepts.  Too late to start Hines.  (I do start McKissic instead)
  5. Opponent has Kelce on bye, so he starts Jonnu, who scores a freaking rushing TD (worth 9 points in our system for TEs)
  6. I decide to start Goff against a historically bad pass defense.  No touchdowns.  Who do I bench?  Big Ben.
  7. Despite all this, thanks to Swift, McKissic, Diontae Johnson, Jason Sanders....I am actually LEADING by SIX as the late games come to an end....(we each have no players sun/mon night)
  8. His Michael Thomas, Giovanni Bernard, Brandon McMannus all have clock running out and game scripts pretty much against them scoring a TD....
  9. That leaves one desperation play for him.....Deandre Hopkins.  who is only still in play due to a last-minute drive by the Bills to put the Cardinals behind by 4 with only 34 seconds left in the game....
  10. %*#))!!!!**%*%?!?!?@?@$?@!@$!?

Traded for C Samuel last night and started him over Jakeem Grant. Barring a stat correction I’ll win 63.2 to 63.1 (averaging 100+/week coming in) :loco:

In a 12 person, winner-take-all, matchup I struggle all day. I manage to hang in and am on 2d place towards the end of the slate. A last minute TD to Diggs, puts me on top by 0.4 with the time running out. I'm ready to cash in when New Orleans intercepts a Nick Mullens pass knocking me down to 2d.

Miss out on the money by less than a point.

So close.

In my oldest re-draft league this year, I drafted a good team and suffered bad  injury issues  - Chubb, Deebo, Lazard, Fant, Mostert,  Fournette, Cooper rendered useless by Prescott injury etc etc

Plus, our commissioner didn’t add in any Covid IR spots this year so have been working through all this whilst only ever having one IR spot.

none the less, I worked the wire and continued to score big and scratch and claw my way to 5-4 ( about to be 6-4 ) whilst waiting on players coming back.

Things are looking up and I feel good about making a run into the playoffs this year. Kyler at QB, Chubb back alongside Jacobs at RB, good WW grabs in Higgins, Jeudyand Claypool at WR and hopefully Lazard to return soon. Whilst Fant was out someone got impatient and dropped Hockenson who I snatched up. Ravens as my D.

Kyler Murray

Chubb/Jacobs/Fournette/Gallman/Duke Johnson

Higgins/Claypool/Lazard/Cooper/Jeudy

Hockenson/Fant

Prater

Ravens

could be peaking at around the right time

That's rough.  One of those weeks where it feels the football gods have conspired to have every positive for you negated so no matter what you do it's futile.  Good luck next year brother, that team should be on the rise for sure.

I'm within striking distance of the #1 team and only am not a shoo in because of that final Hopkins TD. I need a little over 12 points tonight from Mooney. Not infeasible, but would have been a lot easier without those 7.7 points for that final Hopkins TD.

There was discussion about me trading Michael Thomas for Ridley in my keep 3 auction league earlier in the year but it slowed down as Thomas was slow to recover. Both players are rostered at deep discounts. This is the last year the other guy can keep Ridley, so he was motivated to sell but not for a guy who missed week after week.

Finally last week he sends the offer but I refuse. Thomas is now healthy and Ridley is hurt and I was hanging by a thread in the playoff hunt. So he trades Ridley to another owner.

Then I lose Monday night,  basically guaranteeing that I miss the playoffs so I go to bed thinking I'll ask the new Ridley owner about the deal. Next year will be the last year I can keep Thomas, so why not move him now and get younger and save a couple of dollars on their salary?

I get to work, check my messages and HE is asking me if I want to make the deal. So I...get greedy and try to throw a few other guys in, bringing me another nice keeper and helping him win this year. He doesn't like that so we verbally agree that a 1 for 1 deal works and get on with work. I put in the official offer.

12 hours pass and he rejects the same deal that he initiated this morning. Sigh.

Had first pick in draft - now sitting at 4-6/1-3 in division.

Why?

RB1 - Chubb

RB2 - Ekeler

RB3 - Ingram

RB4 - Mostert

so in a 2RB league Ive been having to start Gus Edwards and Latavius Murray most weeks.

my WRs - OBJ got hurt, Golloday has been hurt

my TE - Ertz has been hurt or worthless

my DL - Danielle Hunter has not played a snap

The only studs I have are Mahomes and Tucker (a freaking kicker).  And when Mahomes has a good week I am facing teams thta blow there wad on me (Dalvin Cook, Davante Adams, etc)

2020 needs to be done.

I had Wilson, Lockett and Drake all going tonight.  Man I was looking GOOD at halftime, and should have been even better if Metcalf catches that TD that hit him in the face.  I was also playing against Myers in both my leagues, so that Metcalf TD drop cost me 6 (6 point passing TDs), plus gave Myers a gimmie 3 points X 2 = -12 point swing across two leagues.  Grr.  Then... basically absolutely nothing from any of my three guys in the second half, and Myers ends up with a late gimmie 41 yard 4-pointer X 2 to leave me: me and my opponents' projections are all within 0.25 points of the original projections.  I'm still favored to win 60%+ in both games, so I guess status quo tonight ain't bad, but it feels like a let down.

I've had the worst year ever points wise. Least points for and most points against. With all that said I have a shot at 3-7 if I win 3 in a row. Not very likely but still there.

Was happy to pick up Hurst who had been dropped leading up to their bye.  Had finally given up on Goedert to grab him.   Oof!!!  And took him over Hunter Henry who had also been dropped for byes/injuries.

Ive been a mess at TE all year between Goedert, Graham, Cook, Fant, Hurst...

First time I've been eliminated from the playoffs by Thanksgiving. Technically still alive maybe but I have no shot. What a year.

Lost this week because

Snell got the goal line look instead of Conner

I flexed Gio instead of C Davis or Perriman

Metcalf dropped a TD in back of end zone

played Bailey instead of Tucker

Kelce scores with 28 seconds left

:ptts:

ESPN league.. guy I played picked up and started Hill at his TE position..

Jacobs not getting in on 1st and goal for me

Jacobs losing 3 yards on that goal line carry

Indy going to OT and Blankenship kicking another FG for him

Hill getting him QB numbers in the TE slot

All this equals a final score of 101.98 - 101.96

#### fantasy football...

:wall: left Duke Johnson on my bench since he didn't do much the last 2 weeks.

:pickle: opponent left ADP on HIS bench

:o guy in my division started Watson and Fuller

I'm playing a doubleheader this week.

The guys so far that have gone for my opponents? J.J. Watt and Montez Sweat for one team. Both of them scored defensive touchdowns. Amari Cooper and Deshaun Watson started against me for another. Who did I start? Elliott. Hooo boy.

I was in sixth and looking at potential playoffs. I'm gonna lose both and still finish with like the sixth pick in the draft. Terrible.

I have Ridley, Lockett, Fuller, Diontae and Keenan Allen in a league where I can only start 3.  I always make the wrong decisions.  Missed out on Fuller’s gem today.  Have missed out on most of Lockett’s huge days.

Traded Will Fuller and Antonio Gibson for Aaron Jones 2 weeks ago. I play the guy this week i traded with. Jones better have 10 TDs on Sunday

Noticed yesterday that someone in my contract dynasty had picked up Preston Williams as a free agent, which seemed really odd since he's been rostered all season.

I checked the transaction logs and he was dropped at 7:59:24 - 36 seconds before waivers ran.  Of course, nobody put in a bid for him in those 36 seconds, so he cleared waivers and was picked up in the FCFS round at 8:25. I was even online just after 8 to check on a couple bids I had made.  Could have snagged him if I had noticed.

Guy dropped Williams and Ross Dwelley just before waivers ran, and then didn't bother adding anybody.  It's not like he's tanking - he's one of the top few scoring teams in the league - and we have IR spots.

Turns out the guy was trying to swing a deal right before the trade deadline and needed to clear a couple roster spots.  Apparently forgot he could I-R Williams, and then they missed the deadline by about a minute.
