Bragging, venting, crowing, grieving... (1 Viewer)

Scored 170 this week.   Which is pretty high.

I'm going to lose. Of course I would have crushed the other game
So I actually scored 169.

I was up 3 pts going against Steelers D and Ebron.

Ebron goes out hurt. O pts

Steelers D ... 2 sacks is 2 pts.

Barring a stat correction I actually win?!

My brother lost his playoff match because CeeDee Lamb caught an onside kick and instead of just falling on it, taking two knees and going home with a W, he saw a crease and ran it in for 6.

I feel for anyone that had to face Kamara, knowing that your title hopes are probably done after one game.  Go have a drink!
As a Kamara owner I never expected anything like this.  To rub salt in the wound I have Ebron and thought he might be out.  Only TE that was servicable available was Irv Smith so I picked him not expecting much up and he get 2 TDs and almost had a third.  Looks like I will be taking out the 1 seed in my league.

I I was knocked out of the playoffs by Clinton Portis when he scored 5 TDs in one game back in the day.  Ruined my weeked as  I was the 1 seed.

Drafting, working trades, managing your roster week after week dealing with the endless number of injuries, working around COVID issues, then getting to the playoffs and pouring over the matchups to set your best possible lineup - all that work rolled into a ball and fired into the sun over a three-hour period on Christmas Day. I can’t even be mad thanks to the absurdity of it all.

w00t! If Aaron Jones doesn’t score NEGATIVE-20, I win the ‘ship, boys!

Pulled Andy Dalton off the wire this morning to replace Baker, and got a big game from David Johnson.

Highest scoring team all year and so far of the non-QB super flex starters (9 of them!) I have one total touchdown (Antonio Brown). Second place isn’t bad but damn it what could have been.

In two leagues, won the SB in one, but the third place game I won (barring stat corrections) is the one I will remember. 2 QB and I won by 1 point (no decimal scoring, other team had tiebreaker) without a TD scored across my entire team.

QB-Goff/Stafford
RB-Henry/A Jones/Jacobs
WR-Kittle/Cooper/Hansen
K-Butker

Won by 1 stinking point against

QB-Wilson/Murray
RB-Swift/Edmonds
WR-Hill/Metcalf/M Williams/C Davis
K-Succop

Both outscored by every team in the league. Hell, my bench combo of Darnold/Gaskin/Gronk would have won.

Poor fella that lost...

Hey Brady and Belichick...

15 years in my dynasty league.

9 championship game appearances. 7-2 record.

Unfortunately my paychecks were a little smaller than yours though. 🤪

Second league, redraft at work.

Fifth year. First four finished 1, 2, 3, and 1. Now I'm in the championship game again and up about 24 points with BUF K Bass vs Cole Beasley. Could go either way.

Thanks fantasy Gods for all the luck. I've played long enough to know that's alot bigger factor than most. Also thanks to FBGs and all posters here for sharing info and advice over the years.

Hope you're all having luck in wrapping up your 2020 leagues as well as a Happy New Year and a much better 2021.

Third-place game has a payout, and I wanted the win after a really crazy year where it felt like I was playing from behind since week 1. He had Rodgers going, and I countered with Adams. A "good" game wouldn't have been enough. To win, Adams would have needed the lion's share of that production.

He got it, I got the win and take home something for my troubles in 2020. I've won titles that were less satisfying. This season was a grind. It's nice to end on a positive and call it a good year.

0/2 in championship games this year.

1 was a blowout as he had Kamara,Evans and still has Diggs to go and I'm down 18+.

Other league was a rematch from last year which I lost by 2 points both times. In 17 years no team has lost back to back until now and previous lowest margin of victory was 5.6. So not only did I lose both I did it historically.

I'm up by 50pts I have BUF Kicker and he has Cole Beasley.  So I like my odds.

2QB dynasty:  QBs RWilson, Watson, Tua.    WR:  Hopkins, JJefferson, AJ Brown, CGodwin, Laviska, Reagor, Pittman JR, Boykin, Parris Campbell,   RB ZEKE, CHUBB, ROJo2, JKDobbins Akers, AJ Dillon, picked up JD McKissic for Elliott. TE:  Kelce, GOedert, Engram,  K Tyler Bass, CLE DEF, IDP Jaylon Smith, Roquon Smith.

I beat Kamara owner in Week 15 thankfully even though he had Josh Allen.  Title game I beat Rodgers, Murray Henry owner as long as Beasley doesn't outscore kicker by 51pts.   Also. I have #9, #10, #11, #13 #19 overall draft picks. I don't have the roster space but I'll bundle and trade and swap 2022 picks so I can reload.    2019 I picked up AJ Brown off WW...This year I picked up  Jefferson, Akers, Reagor and Laviska  Pittman JR off waivers...I thought by Year 3 the other owners would catch on but not so far.   3 of those players were dropped by 1 guy.

I lost the title game last year.  I was stoked Dillon had a good night last night finally.

Looks like I’m going 0-2.  Had a good shot tonight up 35 and against Allen but he is over half way there already.

Lost the championship game. The Tannehill td run did me in.
also was in easy reach of the 25+ years old league most points scored in a season record. Came up short on that too.

Total points league that plays thru week 17.....pretty big money

I'm up by a very small amount going into the week...

The second place guy has Brady, AB, Ravens D, amongst others...

He's up on me pretty big going into afternoon games...I didn't even check and thought I was pretty much toast!..I have Henry, Taylor, Waller, and Rams D......the yardage bonuses for my RB's gave me the win by 7 points!.....and I mean 7 points total adding up the week 1-17!  What a crazy day!

Won my 17 year 12 team PPR Dynasty. I was the 5th seed out of 6 and we got hot at the right time. This was probably my favorite title. Why?

I beat the #1 seed in the semifinals and beat the #2 seed in the Super Bowl. And how did I win the Super Bowl?

Michael freaking Gallup. Had to plug him in for Jarvis Landry and it was a blessing in disguise. I ended up winning by 15 points. 30 point game from Gallup was HUGE!!!!.

My 2020 Roster:

QB - Lamar Jackson

QB - Drew Lock

QB - Mitchell Tribusky

RB - Dalvin Cook

RB - Miles Sanders

RB - Kenyan Drake

RB - Mike Davis

RB - Phillip Lindsay

RB - Jamal WIlliams

WR - Julio Jones

WR - Chase Claypool

WR - Michael Gallup

WR - John Brown

WR - Cole Beasley

WR - Jarvis Landry

WR - Parris Campbell

WR - Hunter Renfro

WR - Demarcus Robinson

TE - Darren Waller

TE - Devin Asiasi

DEF - Bucs

Team Kicker  - Titans

Incredible season. Was two game above 500......and then went on a post season rampage. Cook and Waller were my rocks. But Lamar finally turned it on. Beasley was clutch in the semis.....just different guys stepping up. Mike Davis helped me out a lot early in the season. I used all my bidding bucks on him after week one. It paid off.

I'm in a 10 Team 2QB Dynasty PPR league that starts: 2QB, 3WR, 2RB, TE, 1W/T, 1W/R, 1W/T/R  K/DEF/ 2IDP

I started with crap and  said I'd win the league in 3yrs.  I traded, hustled and was way ahead of schedule losing title game in year 2.

QB: Watson, RWilson, Tua, Rosen

WR: Hopkins, AJ Brown, JJefferson, CGodwin, Laviska, JReagor, Pittman Jr, Paris Campbell, MBoykin, Olimide Zaccheus

RB: ZEKE, CHUBB, JK Dobbins, Akers, RonaldJones2, AJ Dillon, JD McKissic,

TE: Kelce, Goedert, Evan Engram

Draft Picks for 2021:  #9, #10, #11, #13, #19

During the season: The Justin jefferson owner dropped him after week 1 or 2, He later dropped Cam Akers.  I also picked up Reagor and Laviska and Pittman off waivers.  2019 I grabbed AJ Brown and Paris Campbell.

NOW... with 4 picks clustered together I don't really know who to grab to try to improve my team. It's a good problem to have. I'm enjoying it before Russell Wilson decides to hold out, Watson gets suspended for inappropriate off field behavior and Tua ends up being a bust or something.

^^^^^  Well done!!

I have resisted opening this thread.  The fact that the last post was two months ago doesn't make me feel any better about being here, but there's no turning back now:

2018 12-team 1/2 ppr 1QB Empire Dynasty.   I drew the 1.9 in the startup of my first ever dynasty league and proceeded to start my franchise off with the following cornerstones:

Round 1:  Antonio Brown

Round 2: Keenan Allen   (traded Year 1 for Guice & Corey Davis)

Round 3:  Alex Collins

Round 4:  Kerryon Johnson

Round 5: Courtland Sutton

Entering Year 4, I'm coming off of the highest scoring season in the league's history which was good for a 6-7 record **VENT***  and  an appearance in the championship game **BRAG**.  This year I think I'm taking the whole damn thing down.   After completing a couple of offseason trades, I think I'm one backup QB away from a team with no weaknesses:

QB:   Mahomes

RB:  D. Henry, Ant Gibson, K. Hunt, Moss, Dillon, D. Henderson, Kerryon

WR:  AJ Brown, Godwin, Tee Higgins, Sutton, OBJ, Ant Brown, Bryan Edwards, Mims

TE:  Kelce, Hockenson, Goedert

K:  Lutz

DST: NO

Yes, I had to go bankrupt in the first half of the 2021 draft to get here.   But I'm looking forward to drafting all of Mac Jones, Darnold, Winston, Powell & Pringle.  Two first round picks in both 2022 and 2023 to boot.

Team finished 2nd in devy dynasty league last year with a pretty good start to the devy and offseason stuff. Traded to get Pitts and Akers earlier this summer.

Same team has Aaron Rodgers, Deshaun Watson, and Cam Akers. Onto 2022 planning at this point lol.

Need to vent.  Ever have one of those leagues where you just lose bigly on every single trade?  I'd settle for just old fashioned losing a trade - in my one league, everyone of these has absolutely tanked me.  Here's my amazing trade history over the last ~8 years in my favorite redraft league:

  • Traded Big Ben and a WR for Rodgers.  The first game I had him, AR broke his collarbone, out until Week 15, and I was out long before then.
  • Traded DHenry for a WR I can't even remember.  This was about 2 weeks before TN figured out feeding him = smart, and he steamrolled the rest of the year and won my trade partner the league.
  • Literally an hour before the trade deadline one year I gave up a 2 for 1 to acquire Luck.  Worked great, I made the finals, and then Luck had that epic stinker vs. the Cowboys and put up <1 point. I lost the ship by 7 pts.
  • Traded Lev Bell straight up for Mark Ingram after getting sniped in the draft.  Had a feeling Ingram was in for a big year. Then some rookie named Kamara ran roughshod on the league.  Ingram was meh and Bell was a horse that year.
  • In his last year with NYG, at our leagues trade deadline, I packaged up 100% of my depth and traded for OBJ for a playoff push to a leagemate trying to make a Wild Card spot.  Odell missed the entire playoffs with a quad I think it was, I bowed out in Round 1, and my trade partner made the finals.
  • One team ended up with 3 good QBs after the draft one year (start 1QB league), and I had a plethora of WRs and ended up with Cousins in the draft.  Swapped Edelman straight up for Brees, and then dropped Cousins.  Week 3 I think Brees broke his hand, I scrambled to the wire and tried to stream QB.  Lost 5 weeks in a row.
  • Decided last year after the draft that I needed one more WR, so I traded Kareem Hunt for Sutton.  Sutton of course tore his ACL after Week 1.
  • Despite losing Sutton last year (and giving away Hunt for "free"), I was clawing for a Wild Card spot.  Brees got hurt and Taysom Hill was absolutely killing Kamara's value, so I flipped Kamara for a package that included CEH & Diggs to try and secure a playoff spot.  Made the playoffs, managed to win two games, Diggs was balling out, I was finally feeling like a genius.  Then I faced Kamara and his 6 TD game in the finals...
  • League decided to draft early this year since we were all together for a reunion in June (all college buddies).  I REALLY REALLY wanted a specific player, but got sniped in the draft.  Tried for two weeks to get him via trade, other guy wouldn't budge.  Finally got the other guy to agree to give him to me after I convinced the league to vote and agree to allow FAAB dollars to be traded which wasn't a rule previously.  Gave up McLaurin, Aaron Jones, and $25 of my $100 FAAB budget to get the player I really wanted plus Tyler Lockett.  Of course....the player I wanted is none other than Cam Akers, and we all know what happened about a week later...
Maybe at this point I just need to trade for an already injuried player and see what happens?!?

Well, lets get this one off to the races.

I'll start the yearly #####ing, as YET AGAIN  I woke up to texts from multiple owners that they want to change one of our draft nights.

It was slated for this Tuesday evening.

Now this has been posted up for roughly 90 days. I really don't give AF what the excuse is. (Well, I suppose death is a good one)

So then I spend the next 4 hours contacting and texting the entire league, which is easier said than done. Many are on the other coast, some in the midwest, and some northern east coast, so getting a hold of everyone is often tough.

Then, everyone has an excuse why they can't have it on another day or another day.
I have it set up where I make a small percentage, and I was about 30 seconds from disbanding a 10+ year league entirely earlier.

Next year, its "this is the draft date, pay by then and attend or carry your ### elsewhere".       :wall:

 TZM

I have Etienne and Dobbins in one of my Dynasty Leagues. Went from playoff contender to bottom feeder. At least there's draft picks for next year.

Had Lamb + Succop in my main league, and two of my other teams are named CeeDee’s Nutz and Tom Buc’ing Brady

‘‘twas a good night

I am all in on Ty'Son in both my money leagues, under very different circumstances.

10-team PPR superflex $250 cap auction league drafted Aug. 31. I bought him with my last dollar  -- in fact, he was Mr. Irrelevant.

12-team PPR redraft snake league drafted Thursday night, hours after the Gus injury. I took him in the 10th as my RB4. Bell went with the next pick and Murray two picks after that.

Starting him in both leagues this week. In the auction league, I spent heavy on most of my starters so there isn't a locked-in candidate for the regular flex spot. In the snake league, there are two flex spots, so I am starting all four of my top RBs.

Same dynasty team - Watson, Cam Akers, Jerry Jeudy 🤦‍♂️

Backup QB is Rodgers out there doing his best impression of Jameis Winston today too.

Packers destroyed.

FF teams looking like I will go 0-3 this weekend.

And likely losing my first round playoff game in fantasy baseball after Civale got shelled today.

Grieving:

Started Aiyuk, & Pittman Jr over Cooks & J. Williams.

Hate leaving ceiling games on the bench while starters head right toward the basement.

Kind of worried that both Aiyuk and Pittman may be busts but will wait it out a little bit.
